Shocked: 3 rejected me!
I ordered a Galaxy Tab from Phones4U on 2 January. Apparently 3 rejected me on my credit rating the next day (though P4U didn't bother to tell me until I called this morning to see what was happening).
The thing is, I have a great credit rating! The worst thing on it is a 2 month delay on £22 in 2005.
I've been told that possibly someone else who lived in my house had problems and that the rejection could be linked by my address.
Does anyone know if this could be true? And if so, what can I do about it?
And now, of course, P4U have cancelled my order, so I'll be paying the extra VAT and whatnot...

Not possible.I've been told that possibly someone else who lived in my house had problems and that the rejection could be linked by my address.
It must be something else.0 -
Sign up for one of the 30 day free trails on one of the credit checking agency's and take a look at your file, any problems will show up.0

That was the first thing I did - really, I have no problems on my credit!0

The person who told you that needs to be referred to the training department.I ordered a Galaxy Tab from Phones4U on 2 January. Apparently 3 rejected me on my credit rating the next day (though P4U didn't bother to tell me until I called this morning to see what was happening).

Thank you very much, Mel - nice to see you guys monitor this forum! I'm at my work pc right now, so will email you later from my private account.0 -
Well, just to tidy up this thread:
Mel did reply to my email, so kudos there, but didn't give me any more information than I had in my phone call originally.
So I went into the 3 shop and, having told the assistant my sorry tale, reapplied. No problem whatsoever!
I still don't know why I was rejected in the first place, but I suspect some piece of personal information may have been miscopied between Phones4U and 3.0 -
the likliest explanation is they put in incorrect details for you, hence why it went straight thru when you went direct.0

When I moved into my new pad (the place I'm in now) I tried to order a TV with littlewoods or somewhere like that. I was rejected, me!! I have the most pristine credit rating, it wasn't until I'd lived here for a few months that I was accepted anywhere. Turned out the people who previous lived here had a years worth of bills (everywhere) that they hadn't paid!! So I was being associated with their credit rating. Maybe something similar happened to you? Very strange but glad it all worked out ok in the end.Don't Throw Food Away Challenge January 2012 - £0.17 / £10
Grocery Challenge 16th Jan - 19th Feb 2012 - £254.72/£200 (Ooops very bad start)
Grocery Challenge 20th Feb - 8th March 2012 - £0/£2000 -
