You're spending a lot of groceries and I suspect you, along with many of us may have spent considerably more in December that we might have wished which has left us short in January.
Take a wander to the OS board and have a look at some of the threads about food budgeting. You should be able to shave quite a lot of your food costs which might help?
You sound very bitter about the world in general, everything is someone else's fault - you might feel a bit better about life if you can retrain your brain to feel better about things. Your DH has a job (many folks would kill for one), you appear to have healthy children and another on the way. In reality your DH's income is pretty good so it doesn't to me appear that he's working for a measly wage. I just find that I can think myself into a black hole and if I try to look for silver linings not clouds it all feels a bit better.Piglet

Sorry lost my post. Am always doing that.
Go to this webste set up by mse people http://www.cheap-family-recipes.org.uk/planner-christmasweek.html?opt=pc
They give menu plans for £100 for a family a month. Done it myself. So it does work. Am doing option 1 evening meals this week.
Go to the direct goverment site. I am sure that you are entitled to apply for a Crisis Loan, even if you are not on benefits. The government also do budgeting loans, but I am not sure how they work.
I will try and get you a link. Edit. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/BenefitsTaxCreditsAndOtherSupport/On_a_low_income/DG_10018856
There is a lady on here, Matrix Girl who started posting when she had 73p left and no nappies, or only a few.! Get some inspiration from them if you can.
If you have some flour and an egg, and powdered milk you can make pancakes they are fun as well as filling.!
Good luck. I have been at the bottom of the heap, alas more times then I would like to admit, but MSE usually find the answers, if you are willing to face your problems and look outside of the box! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
