That smiley always looks a bit obscene - but it's a hug nonetheless

Thank you for your thanks... and the questionable hugs and the formal pat on the back.

I had not told Mr P about the OP. He was a bit shocked when he checked his accounts and saw all those lovely zeros lined up.

Today I spent less than £2 on 'sell by' food and I had another packed lunch. As per usual I walked to the station and on the train I read another book swap book.

Goodness I'm cold, we've still got the heating is still off.

We have a lot of birthdays next month including Mr Ps.

Today I spent 75p on sell by food which should have cost over £3. I now have 2 packs of potatoes so no more oven chips until we have used them up. Tonight we're eating sell by chicken drum sticks with sell by mash potatoes and yep, you guessed it, sell by vegetables.

I took a packed lunch to work.

Mr P is working late tonight, unfortunately neither of us get paid overtime.

    Thanks greent.

Today I made potato cakes from left over mashed potato. I explained to Mr P, if we make too much mash we should save it rather than eat it. Who knows, it might reduce help to reduce our overeating.

I had some tomatoes that were past their best, chopped then up ready for the freezer them for soup but did not have a container for them so I made homemade broth instead and used some of the froze vegetables supply. Yummy.

Urgh, I did not buy enough curtain fabric but I think I have found to make it work by hopefully buying a cheaper length of fabric.

  • I have to wrestle leftovers off MrMRN... he doesn't need seconds the same size of his firsts and he just complains he's over eaten afterwards so it's for his own good really.

Last night was soooo cold. I looked like this :snow_grin Mr P asked if I wanted the heating on and to watch a DVD. I said I'd rather clean the pantry to keep warm  What has happened to me! :money:, that's what.

Even last year the heating would have been on by now. Thank you my virtual MSE friends.

Yesterday was a NSD. Today I'm going to visit the curtain shop, clean the bathroom, move some furniture around, put a load of washing on and I also hope to tidy up a bit. If I can get Mr P to get some of the kitchen supplies boxes out of the attic we'll also get some of the kitchen cupboards stocked up. Mr P has been filling the kitchen cupboards and I swear I can't find a thing.

Oh I nearly forgot, I've been paid and next week is my final monthly saver payment before it matures. :T
