do people not realise that they arent saving that much money buying in 50% off sale, if you bought 3 items at £10 each before the sale it would have been £20, now it is £15. I know to most people £5 is alot, and it adds up if youre buying quite abit, but stuff seems to be flying out of the stores and online, and alot of the stuff, in my eyes, isnt even a bargain! People just see 50% off and buy. To me 50% isnt enough to be considered a bargain, especially in Boots where they are over priced to start with! Things are on offer in other places throughout the year (especially toys) at around about the same price as they are in boots now, sometimes even better. Really wish people would hang fire and not panic buy, there wont be a 75% sale ever again at this rate =(
  • Anyone know if it is on in Luton bedfordshire today? dont want to drive there specially as it will cost quite a bit in petrol
  • eeeeek to get up and go to york and see or not to .... hmmmm it would seem it isnt on.. i asked in york yesterday and a very grumpy man said its not on! hmmmmmmm  (men!!??..do they not understand the importance?)

Completely agree! But some people don't stop and think, they just see sale and buy.

Don't know weather to be gutted or relieved its not today. Gutted because I managed everyone birthdays (14 of them) with a couple of bits left for this xmas only spending £30 real money (plus points). Relieved because it is torential rain outside and I would have had to walk half a mile to get to Boots!

Still I remember last year, about a week after the 75% off, all the left over stock was reduced to 50p (even the £30+ stuff) to clear it for the suncream, so may still get a few bargains yet, have got to wonder what Boots are going to do with it all if it doesn't get reduced further though. Surely it has to go down at some point?

But some people don't want to buy 3 before Christmas, they might just want one for themselves, so they do save 50%. I personally don't stock up on presents for the year just buy things I or my family will use.

Just back from London Colney store and no sign of a 75% sale :( I casually mentioned to the lovely SA that I thought it might be on today and she said no and that they are not being told due to last years leak to the press. However she did say that they are supposed to be having a major stock move around/ re-stock on Monday which puzzled her as she didn't know where all the sales stuff is going. She said they have the plans of where everything has to go. (She called it a special name but I can't remember)
As long as its not on Friday as I have to work then!
There's a skinny woman inside me screaming to be let out. A cookie soon shuts her up!!! :rotfl:
  • My husband has just been into the Boots in St Pancras station and it's defininitely NOT on there
