Boots 75% off sale - possible date

SO a relative of mine went by the strood store in Kent this morning at 8.30 and asked through the closed door ( not open til 9am) if the 75% sale was on today, the woman said no, then driving by at Lunch she sees 75% signs up, goes in nothing left,other stores in the area still 50%. She rang head office to complain/ ask what was going on, the lady at head office said, she was unaware any stores had sold things at 75% and said she would look into it, she rang back and said what had happened was that they were unsure if there is even going to be a 75% off sale this year, and they do not tell thier staff before the day for health and safety reasons, but stores were sent the 75% off signs on Tuesday incase it goes ahead, but some of the smaller stores got confused and thought it was for today. She said if if it does happen it will be next week, my relative asked, can she guarntee that, and then she said it is probably best to check stores everyday as she is unsure what may happen now that some store did the 75%, and how many stores did it and what complaints they may have.
Maybe if more people ring head office mentioning some stores were doing the 75%sale, which seems unfair etc, it may mean they will go ahead with 75% sale next week if not this week????
Yes I am a newbie but I am not undercover from Boots, just been keeping an eye on this thread to catch the sale, and thought I would join and post to share what head office said as there has been alot of speculation. Will be popping down to my local store tomo just incase! x

Hi, is anyone still up? I messed my sleep pattern up waiting for the sale. Just wanted to share how gutted I was this morning to find the machester store still 50% off. It seem boots are playing games again!!!

Yes if everyone looks back to approx page 45 of this thread the exact same questions are being asked then. "Will they, wont they, there isn't going to be one this year, Sa's saying we never get told, it may be on next week, etc etc". It will happen when it happens as always and like most people I think next week but only time will tell:D

Website still says 50%, although all stock has gone. I wonder if that will change to 75% on the day, as it usually does.
