I did think this about today - Most people have weekends off and would they really start this 'BIG' sale knowing that Double the amount of people will be there? Surely they would just get one more weekend of sales at 50%!0 -

i totally agree, boots have shown their true colours, being greedy as they are of course they would want to milk it this weekend.0 -
argh why are people still buying at 50% off? the original price is over priced to begin with, so in another store, when they have the same or similar product reduced to half price it will be even less! bloomin heck why do people even think they are getting a bargain? and why do people feel the need to buy tons of gifts right now for christmas, there is the whole year, and there will be loads of 50% off sales throughout the year, in other stores, where the original price isnt over priced to begin with. i understand why people go mad in the 75% sales because there arent that many sales with that amount off. but come on 50% off from boots is not a bargain really!
and like i said before, TO ALL THE PEOPLE BUYING NOW WITH THE INTENTION OF BUYING IT AGAIN IF IT GOES TO 75%.. HAVE YOU STOPPED TO THINK THINK THAT YOU ARE THE ONES MAKING THIS SALE GO SO WELL??? no wonder theres no decent stock left, are you really that desperate for these items right now?? at an overpriced 50% off! im 100% certain that whatever you are buying (either the same product or equivellent) will be on a better deal through the year. stop panic buying and get a grip. there will never be a 75% off sale again at this rate0 -
just phoned boots holloway rd and they said not today as well is anyone going to a store or has been to one today just to check !!;);)0

They took the Fitflops out of my basket as they were out of stock and now they're back in stock at full price - that seems mean to me!!! Then there are other pairs taunting me saying they're in stock until I try and add to basket.
Maybe they need to hold off on the 75% as they need the money for an IT dept?:eek::eek:0 -
just phoned manchester store, they said they hadn't been notified of a 75%off sale, go figure?
so i will refrain from my usual behaviour.
i will not stalk my local store
i will not follow and pester sa
i will not take steps to eavesdrop on groups of staff

Not sure about this. Their shelves are bare, goods all over the place making the stores look tatty and stale. I think they may have a 'flash' sale over the weekend so they can start anew next week. M & S started their Managers' sales on a Saturday and by Monday all that was left was tucked into a small corner so all the new stock could go out.
Well, that's what I'd do - and in a previous life I was a retail manager!seriously considering hitting the bodyshop.
Already there! Just transferred my allegiance - and altogether, with discount, quidco and their sale managed to get just over 75% off! :j“Rain drops are not the ones who bring the clouds.”0 -
