  • Can you not get a charge put on his house if he owns a property to ensure that you get the money eventually? im assuming if you keep going to court and they keep ruling in your favor this could be done through a court order? my next door neighbour is doing something similar with her ex at the moment. she is in the process of obtaining a court order forcing him to sell the family home. an offer has been made for over the asking price so she wants to accept but he wants to hold out for more money so court it is for her.

this senario is why ive already stressed to oh that if he dares to mess me about when we are married that i will make him regret it and he knows i will hit him financially as thats where it would hurt him the most.

Unfortunately he doesn't have a house. He rents, or stays with GFs. Nor does he drive, or seem to have a passport.

TBH, if it wasn't for the opportunities I felt that (originally) supporting his decisions would have given the children, and all the work we went through to make that possible, I would let it go. It'a a hypothetical £50 000 that they're never likely to see. Now I feel it's not my decision to do that, because it's the children's money, and I'm fighting on their behalf. But it's a sair fecht as they say.
Although me and hubby (who has "taken on" the children as his own) have been able to meet most of the children's needs, there have been times when I feel that it would have been a lot easier if we'd had some child maintenance as a boost, ie DD1 going to uni, DS1 and DD2 going to theatre school for several weeks. Plus a lot of the debt I've had to clear has been because he put me as a guarantor on his loans nonsense, and then defaulted/moved house etc. But that's all done and dusted now thank goodness! I suppose I ought to be grateful that he is not here, interfering all the time. He tried that at the start and got short shrift. Then called me a bad parent because I wouldn't drive 300 miles south so "he could see his children" .
Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.

Popping in after doing some flying to keep MSE towers happy so that I could post about it, that's disssspiccable *said with spit like Sylvester the kitty cat* made me feel so guilty that I'd done so little to post about! However jibs to MSE towers aside, I hope this is the one place we don't suffer cuts as I am pretty fed up of them already x

Well todays presentation went well, seemed quite well received, hopefully that's another door opened to education for us all to work with. Got some wonderful news that I have £2000 for my little specialist swimming group :D so I am thrilled with that, it'll actually keep us 'afloat' for a year or more & buy the new aids I wanted for some of my little swimmers. Yippee!

Flying - WM, DW, kitchen S&S, kitchen messed up again so will have to redo tomorrow, TD on, walls in LR wiped as I noticed grot, bathroom S&S, piles of junk sorted for bins/recycling collection tomorrow, DP nagged about putting the tree in the garage, fridge cleared of nastilies, bin bag fling in bedroom.....I think that's all.
One day I might be more organised...........
