Which is best tariff for data (don't want long contract)?

I have just got my first smartphone, an HTC Wildfire. I'm currently on Virgin's 30 day £10 tariff which doesn't include internet, so I'm looking to change. Could someone advise what would be the best tariff to go on for data? Either PAYG or a 30-day sim-only deal, as I don't want to be tied into a long contract. I don't…

I've been with Giffgaff for over a year now,never had any problems,got many of my friends on to the network,so all calls to them are free if I top up £10 every 3 months. I've had over £80 cashback for doing virtually nothing, but the best thing for me has been the free 100MB of internet per day. In Lincolnshire which I often visit, O2 (Giffgaff) is the only option.
Give them a try,it will only cost you a tenner.
