That's so sad about your neighbours. Being disabled shouldn't stop him getting out and about. And those poor dogs0

I'm disabled and I manage to get out a couple of times a week, okay walking the Furry Dragon (tm) is done by Dr Dragon BUT I do sometimes walk a little bit with them (Dr Dragon drops me at the local pub and continues the walk
) and I do sit and play with the Furry Dragon ( nice long corridor to throw a ball down
, and also the Wubba)

Hello, SA. Lovely to hear you sounding so positive and taking control. I hope all goes well with your GP next week. I fully empathise with your feelings at work.
I would get angry at neighbours like yours, too. A friend of mine, who is just great to be with sometimes, spends all his free time lying on his bed listening to the radio (the sort of listening that involves shutting your eyes and snoring occasionally) or watching TV. It drives me nuts - not that I have any right to be driven nuts by someone else's behaviour that doesn't impact on me, but I've never let a small thing like rights prevent me from voicing an opinion.:o
I once asked someone not to feed my dog something because I didn't want her putting on weight. His reply involved the words "pot", "kettle" and "black". Hmmm.
Dragon, any walk that involves a pub has got to be worth going out for!"Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -

Hi Dragon,
Nice to see you here. I have been catching up on your diary and know that you achieve lots despite being disabled and not always in the best of health, my sort of person
We have a number of invalid and elderly people in my neighbourhood who are often zooming around in their motorised chairs.. amazing and so independent.
I did have to complain about the noise from the neighbours last year and it ended up going to mediation, but they refused to attend a meeting to discuss the issues. The constant boom, boom, boom from his war games was driving me insane. Often he is playing into the early hours and I just can't get uninterrupted sleep, even with earplugs. Because they are there 24/7 it is relentless but has improved since they were given a warning. I KNOW that it affects me more when I am working because I would get home from work tired and wanting to relax and all I could hear was this constant
noise. It makes you so irritable and being an animal lover the dog issue upsets me as well. Nothing I can do though, unfortunately.
Have a good day y'all...

Pub walks are my favourites
, not that I drink a lot but ours is a nice friendly local and close to home!
Doggy obesity should be avoided at all costs (and what if the owner is slightly on the chubby side if they are looking after the dog okay )

SA hi, 3dogs, Andy and Steve from our thread have come down to visit me that's why i haven't had a chance to post. I know I have been quiet!!! i keep talking about MSE in every conversation so it is pretty fair to say that i am addicted!!!!
I hope you are feeling better. I know how easy it is for work and a negative environment to drag you down. Remember though it is only for a while and you have many friends who are here for you and after downtimes there are many up times too. Just be kind to yourself. Do you live anywhere by Angel? she is a prolific walker and maybe you could walk together. In the summer i hope to start walking again I loved it.
We are all going down now to watch some tv together. We have rather overconsumed and now are utterly shattered! Might pass out in front of telly!!!
have a goodnight petal. we will try to post tomorrow.

Afternoon everyone....
Nothing on telly last night and so I ended up watching 4 catch up episodes of The Good Wife on More4. I am addicted and the second series started without me realising and I am SO far behind. Up to date and set up on Sky+ so no chance of missing any more.
I have decided to tidy up the garden this week and bought my first bag of compost for 2011 to repot a couple of grasses. I am not a great fan of flowers, I prefer bamboo and grasses.
I have had enough of my computer freezing up on me (it is ancient, like me) so I downloaded a registry cleanup tool and ran that. It found 603 errors, don't know what it means but it sounded a lot
Anyway, all done and the computer seems to be running a lot faster. A bit of a techno phobe, I am afraid.
Still reading up on car boots and trying to decide what I am going to make or sell once I have sold all the "tat from my flat". Do I try and put things together myself or do I buy in to sell on? Can't decide. When I did it a few years back I found a wholesaler and bought stuff to resell - it worked quite well, but was a lot of work and there were two of us.
I am going to try and cook and freeze for 3 weeks out of each month and then just live out of the freezer for the 4th week, saving the housekeeping budget in the process..... could be a winner
I buy dog food in bulk once a month and so he is sorted, save for the odd pigs ear or other pet shop treat. I shall also walk to as many places as possible, saving the car for longer journeys. I have got the time - the days of rushing around are a thing of the past and I will keep fit in the process....
sw - sounds like you are having a good weekend, enjoy!
Not a great deal to write about on a fairly lazy Sunday. GP appt tomorrow morning, I am not sure how I am going to put my thoughts into words. It is so hard when you know what you want to say but can't think of how to say it. I am convinced I need a break from work just to try and regroup and stop my negativity once I am in the workplace. Perhaps I do need to work on my own? Lots to think about.
Hugs

Hey SA. Sorry you've been having a bad time these past few days. I've been so wrapped up in my own issues and stresses, I've neglected seeing how other people are getting on. You're always so supportive and encouraging of me - which is amazing considering how stressed out you've been yourself. Just goes to show what a great person you are...and don't ever let anyone convince you otherwise.[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000

Aaahh.... but that is the whole point. If you are having your own difficulties it is good to try and focus on other peoples problems and offer support because it both helps them and stops you wallowing in your own misery - double whammy....;)
We all get highs and lows and can both empathise and understand when things have taken a turn for the worse. I have good health, my own hair and teeth and most of the time my brain functions correctly.I just need to chill and learn to take things a little easier. I am a so and so for beating myself up.
I have got my fingers crossed for you in the days and weeks to come. Have a big MSE hug....
