    Hi everyone! :j

Well me and OH kinda put everything planning on hold due to house move, now wish we didnt only just ordered invites :(

Now i have so much to do and payout its all getting too much :( I have family members that i have not spoken too in over 6+ years asking when the wedding is and when they will be getting their invite!
The plan was for all family (distant) to come to the evening do and all close family to both day + night! Now i dont know what to tell them without hurting their feelings, as moth of my family live in the north, and im in the south, so i understand it maybe more of a burden to come to just the evening bit! But i cant afford the extra 10-15 people (this is just my side of the family and not the OHs!)

I dont want to hurt their feelings, as they are family! Any one else had this problem?

Also we assumed all our chair covers were included in our venue.. apparently not so theres another £300 gone.. boohoo!!! :( any one know where i can get these as cheap as possible?

Boyfriend booked our honeymoon at the weekend yay! Also have picked bridesmaids shoes and guest book...going to buy them at the weekend!

Hollie, I was just wondering is there a reason that you are sending your invites this early? We were planning to send ours in May as we can only make our wedding list 12 weeks prior to our date at the earliest. I was just wondering should I really be sending them now? Am I being paranoid??!!
    Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):
    My savings: £4878.54/£7000
    Joint account savings: £2685.57/£3000
    Total:£7564.11/£10 000 (as at 26/10/14)

We neve sent out save the dates simply because we knew the 37 people for the day would definetly be there so said we would get the invites out in march so that the evenig guests have time to book it off if they work evenings,on the RSVP's i have requested a reply by the end of april so they have over a month and a half to get the replies to me,we meet with the wedding coordinator 6-8 weeks before to discuss numbers and pay the final amount which will be around the start/middle of june.U can send them out whenever, its one less hassle for me now as i made the invites myself and am doing my bouquets, centre pieces etc myself so didnt want to be faffing with the invites in a month or so's time:)

Thanks, I was suffering from a bit of late night paranoia reading that! To be perfectly honest I am delighted whenever I hear that people can't make it to our wedding because we have 157 on our list which is far far too many...would love to get it down to around 130 ish. The food and drinks are going to be soo expensive!

We are flying to Italy and hiring a car and going to Lake Como and Lake Garda and then finishing off with a few days in Milan. We have booked some really gorgeous hotels, I can't wait!!

Wow 157 i thought we had alot at 90.OH has way to many friends and we havent invited all of them, alot are people he dont speak to for months on end but said we will see how many yes's we get and go from there,if there are a few spaces then we will send out an invite,so gives time for that to.

I have no idea where we will honeymoon,it will be a last minute deal after the wedding.

Jalpee i have the same problem about family most live up north i am in south west and i am not close to them so wont be inviting them except one cousin she is more like a sister we are really close. i no they wont like it but its tough i have had to sort registry office and cut numbers there coz it holds 31 and on tight budget for evening as well.

Well this weekend - the men in the wedding party have been trying on their outfits which were delivered this week. There are some returns/exchanges to sort out but in general we are making some progress.
We also had an appointment with the second person who handmakes invites etc and should have a sample in the next couple of weeks.
Had a mini panic over whether or not the mens' outfits will contrast/clash with my dress but I cant get an opinion until my daughter comes back from her holiday in two weeks. So will put that to the back of my mind to deal with later!!

  • Hi everyone, it seems like we're getting on well with the plans.

I bought BM dresses and shoes at the weekend. Happy to have that job out of the way as it was a nightmare trying to find a time where all 4 of us were free!
