I know the feeling about family pressures! Where are you hoping to go for your honeymoon?0 -
Hi Hadley,
Yup I think it is essential to be comfortable with the photographer- particularly if you want them to come and take pics of you getting ready. I have come across a few really sleazy chaps who's eyes lit up when they said "I will come and watch you get dressed" which made me cringe quite a lot. Defo not using those!! I think it will be a stressful enough time trying to rush about and get ready and find things I'm bound to have forgotten where I've put etc, so would need someone that I am relaxed with and doesn't make me feel even more stressed!
Oooh know exactly what you mean about wedding fairs- I went to the last one to find a photographer, and came back wanting a magician and a balloon arch:rotfl:
Oh I love wedding fayres - but so so much temptation!!I could be ever so ever so naughty!
Ah i do see your problem and have to say I agree. Lots of people seem to be able to do quite respectable group/formal/posed shots, but struggle with the natural shots.
Also I agree that its essential to feel comfortable with your photographer (though trying to explain this to the OH is exhausting). I want to go and visit the two I like. Both to view their work, but also just to see how well we get on and see what sort of ideas they have.
Am in Kent, so can't recommend anyone myself, but am sure there must be others in your area who can. Am sure you will find someone amazing - even better than the one you currently like. Am a great believer in fate me :rotfl:0 -

Umm next thought about the sleeze aspect - though in some strange way I think I'd be more comfortable with a man than a woman for the getting ready bit. Maybe because I think they might be judging me - if that makes sense.... welcome to the strange innerdepths of Hadley1's mind!!
Might email the two photographers I have in mind and get some dates to visit them. OH will have to come whether he likes it or not. :rotfl:
I want so many things just from flicking through a magazine last night... roulette table, sparklers, horse and carriage, fire eater, magian... the list goes on and on!!
Need to get saving!! and begging, borrowing and stealing at this rate.:rotfl:0 -
I am scared of horses so at least I don't want a horse and carriage :rotfl:Oooh sparklers though, now there's an idea!
Good plan with arranging to meet the two photographers, it's important to see what they are like in real life to see if you would get on with them. I don't really want a judgy woman or a sleazy man lol, don't really mind male or female as long as they are friendly and I feel relaxed enough in their company
Have you had a peek at any dresses yet? I am wondering about going for a little look in a few dress shops to get an idea of what I like and what fits under the budget, bit worried they will laugh at me for doing it so early and tell me to come back next summer!Umm next thought about the sleeze aspect - though in some strange way I think I'd be more comfortable with a man than a woman for the getting ready bit. hi, we thinking of 4 nights in new york, 3 in vegas and 7 nights in mexico, that way we get the shopping and partying out of the way before we can have a nice relaxing week0 -
Wow wow wow!! That sounds amazing, great idea going to a few places as well to fit more in

Wow that does sound amazing. Haven't worked myself up to broach the subject of a honeymoon with theOH yet. On the basis that he has two lovely teenage kids - who I'll become stepmum to. they are teenagers - one will infact be 18 a few days after we get married... but I really don't want a holiday where they come too especially the younger one who is very clinging with his dad despite being 12 (there is a good reason why, but thats a very long story)!!
Will have to work up the courage for that.0
