Re: time taken for application to be processed....
I applied via a "by special invitation" mailing. Probably doesn't mean much, but MS use Experian. As I'm a member of Experian's Credit Expert service, I'll get an e-mail from Experian when they(MS) do a search, so at least I'll know when to call them back............Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
I applied for one of these about 4 weeks ago. Apart from the initial 'thanks we got your application email', I've heard nothing
I was after the cashback as all my debts are now on the M&S 3.9%, the MNBA 0% or Debenhams 0% with DDs set up for minimum payments.0 -
Doesn't look like the card is as attractive now:

I had to wait about 6 weeks before I received my application accepted letter, and then another 2 weeks before I got the card and PIN.
I believe there is a phone number to ring if you want to check the progress of your application, but as I said it took them a long time to sort mine out as well so maybe it's just a question of waiting0 -
Methinks I'll phone and abandon this application. My account won't be going through their system on the old terms now if it's still being considered. And the cashback is yearly too instead of on demand at £15 increments.
As Phoenix said, not so attractive.0 -
I just thought I'd post a delighful epilogue to my original post.
On the day I received my rejection, my wife applied for the card via the web with me as an additional cardholder.
Within seven days the new cards and PINs were on the doormat. Splendid, 3% cashback until the end of Feb!
Thanks for your contributions....0 -
Well, I called them back Monday (13th) wand was told my app is now "showing on their system" at last. Still no e-mail alert for search from Experian, so I guess even though I'm on MS's system, the "you should get a letter by end of this week" is looking like an optomistic timescale.....beginning to wish I never bothered.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

hi ,
i got my ms card a few months ago with the 2% cash back offer till the end of november. as i've spent over my >£2000. @2% rest @1% my statements keep saying my cash back was @ 1% the whole time. i've been in touch & they say they've had a fault on their system.
As its been a while does anyone know what will the normal interest rate be after november 1% or .5%. if its .5% i might aswell go back to my sky c/card.!
One last thing what i didn't realise while the ms card is a good card over here i didn't realise if you use it abroad you get charged interest on purchases.0 -
Goodness, wonders will never cease. I received the PIN's today for some unknown reason...ah, wait, yes I remember way back in the mists of time, I think I did apply for Morgan Stanley card... I assume that a couple of cards will be winging their way through the postal system as I type, but I won't hold my breath until Christmas for them to arrive.0
