Cleanse, tone and moisturise - is it a ploy?

Well I'm going to go against the general flow here - I always use the No7 wipes, have done for years - I think they're great! :jThey get everything off and leave me feeling really clean and comfortable. I use them morning and night. I don't even feel the need to moisurise every day. My friends often comment on how nice my skin is, how few lines, etc, so must be doing something right! Or maybe I'm just lucky:cool:[0

Hi, this is interesting
Do you not wash your face at all then, even in the morning and just use wipes? They are easier for storing aswell, one product instead of a load. 0 -
Nope, never ever wash my face - just use the wipes. (Well - it does get wet in the shower, but that doesn't count, presumably!:p) Occasionally I'll slap a bit of moisturiser on before bed - once a week maybe. I would point out that if ever I've been tempted to use other makes of wipes I've always regretted it - only the No7 ones will do
But I never, never use a wipe - unless there is no other option. I don't know why they're selling so well these days, then again microwave meals sell well and they're no good for us either.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Hi, thanks for your replies. Is there any quicker way of using a cleanser? I just find the cotton wool and cleanse business to be a faff, same with cleansing hot cloths. I do have difficulty in removing my eye make up and I must admit I have to scrub at my eyes with the wipes and I think it would be the same with cleanser. I asked the assistant about a face wash but she said cream cleansers are better for dry skin like mine and that the less water you use the better. I would still have to splash my face at least after using a cream cleanser. When I use wipes I only use them at night but I do wash my face in the morning, can't imagine never using water.
Dry skin needs a crea cleanser that you wipe off.Water is the worst thing on it and will make it worse.I love the Clarins cleanser for dry to normal skin with alpine herbs in it.It's lovely to use and makes the skin look and feel fab.Just put it on (they recommend patting it lightly after application) then wipe off.Never use water,it will dry and tighten dry skin. Then use a toner, which removes any traces left and your skin will feel very clean and nicely refreshed
Then just follow with moisturiser.
Do that and you'll never want to use water on your face againIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

Have turned my back on wipes. I probably used the too cheap ones but I did find them abrasive and my skin felt rough afterwards.
I recently found the Superdrug Vitamin cleanser (currently 2 for £3) and am not going back to the wipes. I first use the Superdrug eye makeup remover then the cleanser for the rest of the face. My face doesn't feel greasy afterwards, just fresh. I then apply moisturiser afterwardsKeep calm and carry on0 -
I used to use wipes to take off my make up off at night as they are quick and easy. In the mornings I would wash my face with aqueous cream and then moisturise.
I've stopped using the wipes now though and take off my make up with aqueous cream and a flannel because a) it is cheaper and b) better than having loads of wipes going to landfill.
I moisturise without fail in the mornings but only occasionally at night. I never use a toner.0 -

Hi Geri, do you find the aqueous cream OK, do you use it for anything else other than taking off make up, I have heard its quite good, does it remove eye make up aswell?0
