I echo what viola said hope it works out with the boyfriend.

Lovely what you are doing in the garden, wish I could be bothered more, but ours is such a pain with it being on a hill and all sloping.

Meant to add I feel 'unloved' by the OH all the time, but he always says that it's me ignoring him. They are all the same. I agree with Jezza Kyle, men are by far the more insecure.

    Hi Sepa
I've popped onto your diary and have just read it from start to finish! When I first started reading, I was going to say that we are at similar points in our mortgage free journey (and I write for a living too!) However, having now read to the current page, I see you've made astounding progress with reducing your mortgage! Very inspirational!

While I'm here, I just wanted to say grrrrr to your boyfriend situation. He sounds like a lot of hard work and you sound fab - it's absolutely none of my business but you deserve better! Hope it works out, whatever you decide!

I've subscribed to your diary and look forward to following your adventures!

PS. I have been enjoying your gardening tales and you've saved me money today! I was looking in the fridge for some lunch but then had a look at our veg patch and there was a courgette just asking to be eaten! Saved me heading into town - thank you!

Hi Sepa. Sorry to hear that your love life is so up in the air at the mo. Hope things get sorted soon.

I'm in awe at how much you seem to grow in such a little garden. It must save you a fortune, it's getting harder and harder to find fairly priced veg these days. Are you planning to experiment with anything new next year?

Lol... thanks for the support guys, it's so nice of you all :)

Haven't heard from the boyfriend since before I went away. When his mobile has rung, it's had a ring tone like it's overseas, so I'm wondering if it's been stolen?

If it has been stolen, he would definitely see it as an opportunity to take a clean break and not give his new number to anyone (if he even got one!).

So basically, it's over. I really hope he's OK, not had an accident on his bike or something. I've given it my best shot, I'll give myself a couple of months to get over it, and then I guess I'll start looking for love again... it's definitely out there, I just wish it wasn't so difficult to keep hold of!!

Anyway, this is the problem when you get to your late 30s... there's a reason why guys are single!

I hate to disillusion everyone, but the garden doesn't save me any money, and in fact I spend far more on it than I get out of it! However, as hobbies go, it's not that expensive, and I do get oodles of satisfaction pottering in it, sitting in the sun, getting my hands dirty planting things, enjoying the flowers and eating the produce!

I hope everyone else is having an OK week. Thanks for subscribing, PBR! I'll look forward to following your story too!

Hugs to you, is there a way you can contact him or someone who knows him just to find out that he is ok, so you have peace of mind

Look after yourself and take the next few months to let go at your own pace and then you can get of that shelf and party like there is no tomorrow

I always think love finds you when your least expecting it, I thought I was destined to be single forever when I turned 30 but then the love of life appeared

I love reading about your garden it always makes me want to go and plant things, then watch the slugs get a good meal. But I can grow spring onions so that's a start :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about the bf ...sounds like he was maybe in a place where he wasnt able to give you what you need/deserve but I hope you get a chance to get some kind of clarity on whats happened and that he's ok.
Totally echo Radish's sentiments that love and relationships so often appear when you are least expecting/looking for it , that said, a couple of months of "you time" sounds a grand old plan!
Interesting re: the garden , I would have assumed it was quite a moneysaver- however like you say its the pottering around and satisfaction on eating stuff you have grown yourself- I look forward one day to being able to do that...although I do have a pot in the kitchen you can apparently grow herbs in so maybe I shall make a little start this weekend!

Oh Sepa, I'm so sorry to hear about your bf. What an unsatisfactory ending - with a fizzle out like that, and no closure point. Good luck with your plan to give yourself a while to get over it and then move on. I hope next time you will meet someone who's ready for a relationship, which it sounds like this one wasn't, really. :(

Thanks for all the support guys, it means a lot and it really helps!

I've been frantically busy this week at work, however the contract I've been working on was signed at 6.30 last night (who would want to be a company officer?!) so that is a MAJOR success.

But it does mean that I was able to use work to paper over the sadness about the bf, so this weekend I'm just going to allow myself to feel down about it.

i've just checked my current a/c, and I am pretty sure that the amount I 'owe' myself is down to a round £500. This is brilliant, considering when I started this diary (and completely confused everyone when I described what the problem was!) it was around £1300.

So still a long way to go, but there is definite progress.

Right, I'd better run because I have to hang the washing out and walk 25 mins to the post depot before 2pm!!
