I'm so excited about filling my boxes with sweeties. Am I sad? Don't answer that one
I've also got 2 big jars to do too. I've bought lots of sweets in packets already like cola cubes, midget gems (Tesco value), sherbert lemons, cola bottles, flying saucers etc in Tesco and Woolies. Some were 3 bags for £1.
Such a fab present :T Can't believe the first post on this thread saying a box was selling for £25  But saying that, I saw small jars of boiled sweets in BHS for £6  Do people really buy them at these prices? If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Now I know different!

I know what you mean Rusty, I now look at EVERYTHING and before buying think can I make this, do it myself, get it cheaper, do with it? If the answer is no, no, no, no I tend to still buy it but only after thinking about what I'm doing whereas I always used to buy without thinking. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0

I'll be making a couple of these too.
I have about 5.00 of my friends christmas budget to fill and she'll love these as will my OH he LOVES sweeties.... I'll be off to the market when I get back at Christmas, can't wait."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -
I went to Woolies yesterday, and got 5 boxes, with a hinged clear lid and 10 compartments (that you can alter the size of) for £1 each. I then went to Asda and got some smartprice and 3 for £1 bags of sweets and filled them up. They look really smart! My OH (who was sceptical) was even impressed! I am really pleased with them!!0
