Just thought..Instore had bags of candy necklaces/watches last year..you remember we wore them round our necks/wrists and broke our teeth chomping off the chemical tasting sweets..:rotfl:

poundland had a card with those sweet bracelets with matching necklaces
there was three sets on a card for a £1.Those little bags of sweets work out
around 10p each, even less if you buy one of the Haribo multi pack.

I bet you could make this for around £3 inc the box if you shopped
    around

This one is a bit dear at £9 but looks good or this one at £3.95.

This one on ebay looks the most like the one that's for sale with the sweets though.

I think any craft or bead box would do or maybe one of those with little draws instead.

  • what a fantastic idea, I was going to get the kiddies the usual selection box, but if I make up a few of these, i can buy the choc's & sweets at 1/2 the price.

Was hoping to finish work early and have a look around the cheapo shops such as Poundland and Wilkinsons for suitable storage boxes. I'm sure we should get these for about a £1 in those types of shops.
Unfortunately I was too busy and didn't get away until 6pm (on a Friday as well - disgraceful.)
Don't think I' ll get a chance to look for boxes until next week now. Am going to print on white card, cut out and attach with string.

Yay, I was going to post about this ...was just gathering my sweets and stuff first! :j

You can definately do a cheaper and better version yourself. I've seen a few of the selection boxes on the likes of the 'a quarter of' site and to be honest, they don't even have the stuff I want it to have in so I'd much prefer to do my own.

I've just emailed the seller of this box, very quick response too, the compartments are not big enough to put a mini fun mars in, so if you was to buy this size you'd have very small sweets, she is however looking for a bigger box that would fit a fun mars in.

Watch out Cadburys we're all making our own sweet & selection boxies now:rotfl:
