*stamps her feet* I want something weddingy to do :rotfl:
I have been looking at jewellery for the big days - and I'm really liking these:
(Coast Doris Twist Necklace - £35, Bracelet - £25)
I have budgeted £50 for my accessories so at the moment this is £10 over. Have to wait till I find my dress before I can go buying, but this is something I could wear with other dresses I have. Would have to wait till it's in a sale before getting it though.
Oh I've also been looking at hairdos.
Bearing in mind it has to be something I can DIY - lol am not paying for my hairdresser to come and do my hair on the day of the ceremony and for the party. I like this style - perhaps with a few random strands falling down. Going to get some pins and have a play on Friday (getting my hair coloured/trimmed on Thursday).
What else can I play around with? lol.
Hope you're all enjoying the bank holiday weekend!

Oh that jewellery is lovely, and although its over budget if it meant you would wear it again and again then its worth it. I had budgeted £50 for accessories but then went and spent £40 on my tiara so am now trying to find something lovely without going way over budget!!
Oh that hair style is lovely. Im tempted by a nice side bun, but im not sure because i quite often have a side bun as its so quick to do when im in a rush to get to work so that kind of puts me off as I think do I want something different to usual, but then part of me thinks I want one so I still look like me so was thinking i bit quiffed and with my tiara and I will look like a smarter me, I guess I will decide after a hair trial.
On and im loving the bank holiday, i have tues off aswell and so does my oh and he said earlier about going to book the honeymoon so fingers crossed ill be on here tues all excited that its booked!0 -
Ooops!! Today we bought two more fish (well we've only paid for one, going to collect the other one next weekend once I've been paid)... so I may not pay the deposit for our diving this month (will have to have a look at how much we've got going out at the start of this month). Damn pretty koi staring up at us singing take me home lol.
Oh I do hope you get your honeymoon booked Emma!!0 -
Feeling really snotty at the moment, so reading all your posts is making me smile!
Nothing wedding wise to report, though have got a cheque for £300 from my eldest aunt today - it's to go towards my trip to Sweden and an engagement present (don't think this will happen though, as I'm getting £150 back from the Scouts, and have £100 from my granddad for 'ice cream'), so thinking this will go straight in the wedding account along with the back payment from work for being a first aider!
Have been into Argos today to order a cheap ring which looks similar to my enagagement ring, I don't want to risk losing my engagement ring at the Scout camp in Sweden in the summer, but am thinking I'll feel naked without it, as I've gotten used to wearing it now.
Have seen a dress I like, there's a wedding dress shop across the road from where I work, and wondering back from lunch I looked through the front door and saw it, it's a fifties style dress, not too long and has the underskirt detailing I like, might have to make an appointment to have a look.
Off to the Isle of Wight in August to look at the venue and confirm everything.0 -
Oooo now I want to see the dress you like!!
This is the dress I have my eye on: http://www.donnaleedesigns.co.uk/fairytale-collection/alice.html
Am off to go and try it on 2 months tomorrow :T.
Have you seen the fabulous 50 style dresses on http://honeypieboutique.co.uk/ ? Must admit they look fabulous to me - and I have them in mind if there isn't a dress I like when I go dress shopping. Good prices too!
P.S hope you feel less snotty soon!0 -
Those dresses are gorgeous
I'm liking those on honeypieboutique.
Here's what I saw:
It's from MorganDavies - I'm assuming quite pricey as couldn't find any prices. I'm thinking I can wear it again to the party that we plan to have for everyone when we're back from honeymoon.0 -
Oh that dress is lovely. I do love those 50s dresses, they are so nice.
Fab news about the £300, im sure that will come in very handy for wedding bits.
Hope your feeling a bit better soon.
And Natalie- I so do aswell. I keep looking at the hotel and reading the reviews on trip advisor and it makes me so want to go there!!0 -
Oh that is a lovely dress ...quaveriw (do you have a 'real' name?). That's why I want a short dress - so I can wear it for the ceremony and the party at the weekend afterwards
