Lol as I've said before I embrace being an english rose (albeit with red hair lol).

It was an absolutely lovely day. And yesterday's party was just lovely too. It was all worth every minute of stress and hassle. I would whole-heartedly recommend DIYing and having a garden party. (Assuming the weather is as kind to you as it was us). Cannot wait to get some photos from that to share with you all.

One mention though - we had sooooooooooo much alcohol and food left over. Unbelievable amount really. I would say about half the food was left - and it wasn't because it was rubbish - it was just because I did so much (with the help of my mum on the sandwiches yesterday). Everyone left eaten what they wanted to, some a bit more where we were going round telling people to eat up lol. And I had sooo much alcohol left over that we've spent the morning palming it off on people. We didn't buy on that returns thing, just because we got it so cheap in the discounts etc. But again I would much rather people had plenty to choose from than us running dry.

It was just such a lovely and enjoyable time.

(I'm already planning on having a Christmas gathering but shush don't tell MrD :rotfl:)

Almost, nearly a catastrophe with the dress . . .finally collected it this morning and the seamstress went off to add poppers whilst I waited for 10 mins. 40 minutes later she brought the dress down all sealed up and confessed she had cut herself badly whilst doing it dripping blood on the dress  Luckily she had specialist stain stuff and removed it straight off. Phew!! Could you imagine if I had seen that happen?!!! She is safely home with the beautiful top I designed too. Can't wait to wear her now.

 OMG that sounds horrific! I must admit there was once where I "pinned" my finger rather badly and didn't realise how much it was bleeding when fiddling with the pleats on my dress and I was so close to staining it. I wonder what specialist stain removal stuff she has? :p

Oh Natalie, they are lovely photos! The short dress is lovely and I, too, think you have an amazing figure! the cheesecake looks really yummy too, I wish I was at your party :D so are you going to share your recipe with all of us? :T

lol :) It is a really easy cheesecake to make - you can't go wrong. But it is a bit of a faff cause you basically prepare all the main ingredients and then add them all together and fold. And it tasted as good as it looked. But then I knew that cause we had a practise at Christmas :D
