I know exactly what you mean Emma!! I have officially done everything I'd got planned and organised for this Easter hols... plus a bit extra. But now I'm left with not much I can do until I have the dress!! I haven't really got anything planned for me to do wedding-wise in May half term - gutting!!

Well a couple of nights ago we popped to MrD's mums, and to shut her up really, we've agreed that after the ceremony she can put on nibbles at hers... but now I've said yes I'm really panicking that she is going to go OTT and will upstage my buffet on the Saturday - a tab bridezilla of me maybe. I'm also worried that my mum may feel left out cause she lives too far away to be able to do anything. I think I'm going to suggest we go back to the plan of just coming back to mine - I'll provide nibbles. I know it's adding more for me to do, and it was lovely that MrD's mum wants to be involved and have a little job. But I'm not sure this is the right job... but how do I go back on my word and say actually we're going to come back here. Argh bloody weddings!!

    Hello everyone!

Well ive had a successful day! Ive been down town and went to goldsmiths and tried on the rings I like and I love the one that was my fave (the one with 2 small rows of diamonds:j!! My oh thought it would be too chunky when we saw it but as it will be on its own I think it looked just right on so now we need to change the tesco vouchers into goldsmiths vouchers and I can order it I think I will pop back in there before I do it just to make sure they definately can order it.

Then I went to the shop that my mil2b works at and have picked out my flowers!!:j And they didnt have many pink gerebras and they only had one that was a possibility and it was perfect match to my pink.!!

:jMy bridemaid shoes arrived on Wednesday so i just need to get my sis and bridemaid to try them on:D

    tracey lovely tiara:)

Emma:j glad you liked the ring

Natalie why don't you suggest to your MIL2B she can make the sandwiches then at least she may feel like she is involved in the wedding and still have them at your house after?

Sooo glad you your ring was as lovely in real life, Emma!! :) And how brilliant that the pink of the gerberas was the right pink!! :D So that's two of us having gerberas - lol I wonder how many other July brides have them. I just love their fun and informalness of them. :T

LauraL :T that your Bridesmaids shoes have come!! Fingers crossed they will all fit and you won't have to send any back!

I have resolved my issue about MrD's mum. We've now decided (well I say we - MrD is happy to just go with whatever), that we'll do a BBQ on the night of the ceremony back at ours. I have said to MrD's mum this way it's fairer so my mum can be involved/help out if she wants to. I said his mum could do the bread and salady bits or something. So she still feels involved, but it's done on neutral territory (our house rather than favouring his family) and I can be in control (not that I'm a control freak lol). :) So I'm happy again. This is the last time I'm changing the plans!! Grrr!! Lol I did say right that's it I'm printing the invites - no changing our minds now - but I won't until Christmas hols this year - lol that's when they are scheduled to be made lol.
Oh and while we've been out and about today we popped to Tescos and picked up our gazebos - am going to have a try of putting them up - to make sure they aren't broken/anything missing etc. Then I'll pack them up and put them in my office (which is slowly turning into a 'wedding' room lol).

LauraL- yay the shoes have arrived- are they nice? Have you ordered th dresses yet? Did you manage to sort out your burgandy shoes?

Natalie:j on picking up the gazebos and fingers crossed they are ok. And I think that sounds a good compromise with the bbq at yours- and at least with the bbq it wont need too much prep.

Im having gerberas with roses in pink with some pearls and the bridesmaids are having ivory gerberas and roses and pearls, the flowergirl is having a few pink mini roses and butterflies and then the men are having an ivory rose and my oh is having a pink rose (its our compromise on what pink he is wearing!!!:rotfl:)

Oh and Tracey the tiara is very nice.
