We werent going to have one but then thought of a song (well oh agreed to a song that I wanted ages ago:rotfl:)

That sounds like a few wedding decisions in my house! :rotfl:

We've had a few goes at shuffling round the kitchen to ours, which means we had to move our kitchen table into our lounge, which together with wedding clutter = no room. Trying to sort through reams of wedding paperwork and clutter... (tidying up some Maltesers too).

On my phone so can't do a proper catch up but have read through it all. Hope everyone is doing ok! Hugs for Mel.

I have lots to do and not long to do it in. Hoping I manage to get some sleep this week or I will look and feel a state by Saturday. I got 4 hours sleep last night in 45 minute bursts, as I have a teething baby who has now been up since 3am and is still going strong :/ got a 3 hour drive back home today so I'll have to get a nap in first!!

Still not got presets for parents, eek! Lots of other stuff sorted now though.

I'm guessing the people that might want to know you're married are:
HMRC - may affect some tax issues?
Insurances - life, house, car, medical? I'm not sure if you're obliged to tell your house and car insurer, but it may change their next quote (my OH's car insurance went down when he stated he had a 'partner' - makes him seem more reliable??)
Employer - you might be entitled to benefits for your OH and vice versa (maybe healthcare, pension etc)
    Pension provider too?
Bank and Mortgage company? I guess on marriage, your OH becomes entitled to your house if you die first and vice versa, so that's relevant to the mortgage company?
That's all I can think of. Like MrsDrink says, I'm changing my surname, so my list is a lot longer. I guess if you ring some of the above, they might say 'so what?'

I think the tax office is the most important as marriage does effect your tax code.

A little note of warning about your Will (my H2B is also a Will writer) when you become married certain things automatically change. If you were to die together (eg car accident, horrid thought, sorry) then the oldest person would be deemed to have died first. So if you the bride are older than your groom then your Will goes to him and then his Will is distributed to his wishes. Worth knowing if you have children because if you both haven't made provisions for them they could end up with nothing!
I feel in the minority a bit but I actually cant wait to be a Mrs and take on my ohs name!

Me too :j We can officially say we are getting married next week now Emma :j .

    What she said :D

All you July brides had better shower us with photos, and you'd better not leave the forum once the weddings are over - you're the chatty ones and future brides need your advice!!

I can't imagine leaving the forum. I already miss some of our marrieds who have jetted off on honeymoon. What are we going to do after July!

Ha could you imagine us lot leaving? We'd have serious withdrawal symptoms!! :D

Thanks for the lovely wishes ladies. Fingers crossed the weather is looking good for tomorrow.
My cold is brewing nicely though - today I feel rather 'spaced out' but I don't know if that is from lack of sleep!!
A few jobs left to do tonight. Got about 90 mins left with MrD before he goes to his mum's. Then when he's gone I'm going to throw the hoover round and I've got a washing load to do.
Got two lovely bunches of flowers today, one from work, and one from my brother's fiancee who can't get the day off tomorrow - thought that was sooo lovely of her. God now I really hope she likes the photo frame I got them - and I'm thinking the photo frame isn't enough now!!!
