Tonight I've worked REALLY REALLY HARD on the activity books for the kids. If I do say so myself, they're looking spectacular so far - new agey and hippy-dippy but still understandable and hopefully really fun! Tonight I've made eight pages so I'm up to twelve so far not including the first and last pages and the extra page not bound into the book for the kids to draw a picture for us to keep.

I also got my wedding contact lenses today. I normally wear glasses - can't have contacts to my exact prescription as I need a prism for the left eye, but they were quite happy to give me a free trial of a month to cover my wedding day - I basically told them that I don't want my glasses covering the meticulously-applied make-up, so it was contacts or near-blindness! I also got the case and solution for free. How sweet is that?

Ladies, I am officially a bridal wreck. I have cried on and off all day. My mum sent a beautiful email, after i had sent her our hotel link, saying the most lovely things about me and H2B and it made me cry. . One of my invigilators had used my married name thinking the request for a reference would come after the summer holidays. I burst into tears again!! Every one in the office thinks its hilarious but I'm worried as i still have 2 weeks and 2 days to go. I'm not sleeping and I am so tired also. So i have spent time today dreaming of my honeymoon and relaxing in the junior suite at this stunning hotel:

Hope that you sleep tonight Mel. We have just seem off our last visitor of the day - we've had people in for the last 8 hours!!!!! We didn't even get dinner lol! Thankfully my bro made m table plan frame for me while they were here, it looks great.

Must get some sleep myself - off to the venue tomorrow morning to drop stuff off. It's all starting to feel very real! Think I am in denial and don't really believe that it's this Saturday lol. I am enjoying being at my mum's so much and will get very teary when we have to leave to go on HM. I also love all the craic, chat and visitors. Every week should be the week before your wedding ha ha.

Good morning all!
Well what a dream!! Argh! HA!
Firstly I took FOREVER to get ready - in the end I rushed everything and didn't look like a bride - just like my normal self on a night out. I even left the house with wet hair (which I always do - but won't be doing on my wedding day!)
Then when I arrived at the registry office we found out that the registrar's mother had died so she turned up in pieces understandably. But she started our ceremony by giving a tribute to her mum and turned it into some sort of eulogy. She was then escorted off the premisses by two other registrars and another one took over. But because the dead woman was local half of our guests left with the lady to pay their respects.
Then I realised it was my turn to walk down the aisle but because of the above my Granddad wasn't with us. So I practically ran down the aisle (to the wrong song - instead of "home at last" from the film Labyrinth it was "here and now" by Steps - which I do love but don't want to walk down the aisle to). I ran straight into MrD's arms and sobbed throughout the ceremony cause it was all just going wrong.
So because it had all gone so badly we said sod it and went to a pub afterwards and I was determined to get trollied!!

Fingers crossed none of the above happens on the day!!! :eek:!

I'm being naughty and coming on at school! Need some idea for what to put on the card box sign? Simple and short please and nothing too 'expectational' (if that's a word lol - never said I was an english teacher!)

I went off ok with my lavender pillow spray and Bach remedy rescu but woke up at 1am. Awake for seemed like an age. Grrrr . . . getting so annoyed with it now. However the tears have stopped and the period has started. :T (Sorry if thats tmi, but i have been hoping/praying that it would come and go before the day and the honeymoon!)

Am i supposed to put something on the post box?? I haven't even thought of this!! Looked on google and yep they have words on them. Do people not know its a post bow and you post things in it?? :rotfl:Perhaps we should ask on the main thread and see what people put on them

I actually slept so well last night- I think everything finally caught up with me and I gave in at 7 and went to bed!:rotfl: and slept through to the alarm at 6!!

We are just putting Mr and Mrs H and then the date on our post box.

Cakes all done, currently cooking up beef for cold meat platters. Trying to get organised as taking everything to the venue tomorrow.

I can't believe how close it is now!!!
