Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker
    Hello ladies :)

Well suits are all chosen and paid for - apparently you have to pay more for a waistcoat the same colour  so of course I'm not going to allow that :rotfl: So he's gone for a charcoal suit, ivory shirt and waistcoat, and a cravat in the same colour as the bridesmaids dress. The shop didn't have any cravats in that colour but he has said that if we can find the fabric they will make them specially for us a no extra cost. I found the fabric on the market for £3 a metre :rotfl: Dunno what I will do with 4 aquamarine cravats afterwards though lol.

I have just popped into the florist and had a look at how much that is going to cost - SHOCKED!!! £45 plus for a bridal bouquet? £4.50 for a buttonhole? I can buy a whole bunch from Tesco for that! Might have to stop at the garage in the morning on the way to the church!

Anyone up to anything interesting this afternoon? I'm bored now lol. xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o

I am just BURSTING with decor ideas!!!!!!!! I actually hardly slept last night and I was dreaming about it when I finally did nod off! :rotfl: I am getting immensely excited.

Also (OMG), I weighed myself on the gym scales (they're digital, same as mine but probably better quality) and the numbers kept changing from 10st to... 9st 13.7lbs!!! :j I know that's only 140g difference, but it was AMAZING to actually see it, I whooped out loud ha ha! :rotfl:

Silaqui - I know, flowers are shockingly expensive, and the prices you were quoted were cheap!! What flowers are you thinking of having?

I'm quite lucky as I got a package worth 2x the amount that I paid (it was a promotional deal in the shop), and the florist is supplying sooo much decor that we are really getting our money's worth! He's going to provide zillions of fab props as well as the flowers and it's all included in the price. Admittedly, it's more than I wanted to spend in the first place, but I'm so glad we booked him. Glad you got your suits sorted and at a MSE price lol.

Natalie - you're relatively quiet today lol!

So :) We've sat down and chosen our words and vows etc. :) We've decided on two readings:
These are the hands... (Thanks Emma!!)
    and
    The Key To Love
(will put copies at the bottom of this post so they don't clog it up).
MrD has also agreed to the two Stanton Lanier pieces - will have Awakening the Dawn for me to walk in, and will have Wildflowers when we're signing the register. I just need to find a third piece by him for us leaving - I figure having another piece by him would fit better - it'd be of the same sound then. Just fingers crossed they are accepted by the registrar because although they are instrumental, and their titles make no reference to religion they are categorised as 'new age/religious' by iTunes.

Just got to ask MrD's mum to be our other witness, ask my other brother whether he will do one of the readings, decide (and ask) whether we want MrD's dad to present the rings to us, and decide on who to do the other reading.

    So here are our readings:

Reading number 1 The Key to Love

The key to love is understanding.
The ability to comprehend not only the spoken word
    But those unspoken gestures,
The little things that say so much by themselves.

The key to love is forgiveness.
To accept each other’s faults and pardon mistakes
    Without forgetting, but with remembering
    What you learn from them.

The key to love is sharing.
Facing your good fortune as well as the bad, together.
Both conquering problems, forever searching for ways
    To intensify your happiness

The key to love is giving.
    Without thought of return,
But with the hope of just a simple smile
And by giving in but never giving up.

The key to love is respect.
Realising that you are two separate people, with different ideas.
That you don't belong to each other,
You belong with each other, and share a mutual bond.

The key to love is inside us all.
It takes time and patience to unlock all the ingredients.
It is the continual learning process that demands a lot of work..
But the rewards are more than worth the effort.
And that is the key to love!

Reading Number 2 These are the hands…
These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.
These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.
These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.
These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind.
These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow, and tears of joy.
These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.
And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

    :)

It is scandelous isn't it. But then I'm a scrooge and think their normal stuff is a rip off. For my fake flower bouquet, 5 button holes, and 30 flowers to attach to the chairs I've paid £79.49. It frightens me how much you could pay for flowers that would last what a week? But then I don't spend much on flowers in my every day life - I virtually never have any fresh flowers in the house so clearly they aren't a priority to me.

OMG wow well done!! I haven't seen under 10st for donkies!! Very impressed and a bit jealous too!! :) (But then I've eaten far too many bourbon biscuits today... oops ha!)

I would email him and just say "hi just emailing as it's now April, how would you like me to pay the deposit?" and see what he replies with. :)

LOL. I am actually almost physically hopping up and down!! Maybe that's why most brides lose weight without trying the closer the wedding gets... it's all the nervous excitement and adrenaline! :rotfl: I tell you, I almost popped with joy at seeing the 9 on the scales... makes me even more determined to get even slimmer! You can do it Natalie, I have faith in you xxx

I LOVE your readings BTW!!! They're perfect. :A:A:A:A:A

Awwww lol - I know - one more sleep - the miracle weight loss isn't going to happen is it lol. :) (and right now I'm not trying to lose weight - my head isn't in it - all I'm doing is making myself more miserable, so I've stopped trying - instead I'm cooking nice proper foods).

Yep I have kinda edited it - there are quite a few slightly different versions on the internet. :)
