    Hi everyone!
You have all been pretty busy! I'm getting so fed up of having to tell the kids at school to stop complaining about the fact we haven't broke up yet lol!

Wanchai - wow - your dress is costing nearly as much as my entire venue and food lol  - but if you can't think of anything else then go for it! I think people look at weddings in different ways - my mentality is that it's ONE DAY, and I can't justify spending so much on it - the other side of the coin is that it's ONE DAY, so you have to make it special! :p

I think it might be because we are trying to save up to buy a house too so money is really tight through pumping it into savings - OH only just earns enough to cover his expenses and have a little spending money, he's putting a little into savings but mainly it's me, so I don't want to spend my money on stuff that will essentially be used once when I could be spending it on a house!

I really love those vintagey shoes though *sigh*.

Talking of shoes, dunno if you remember but ages ago I was lusting after the Miss KG Haisley shoes in blue -CLICKY- and they didn't have them anywhere - well I finally tracked them down in the sale but they only had a 7 (I'm only a 6). Well they arrived but they are no good, far too green toned and much too big. So at least I can kill that lemming, but back on the hunt!

Laura - you could get them Mr and Mrs mugs? CLICK! There are loads online in different styles.

Natalie, glad you've gone for the red hair - when you were discussig it before you were definitely much more positive about it, I could tell that's what you wanted really! I'm going to stick with my dark brown but not sure whether to keep my highlights in for the wedding - they are a sort of dark caramel at the minute but I like my hair to look properly dark. I might ask my hairdresser to leave the ones in the top part of the hair to dye out and just keep some really deep ones for a flash of movement.

I've been being very good dietwise recently - been sticking to my calorie allowance and also going to the gym. I had an appointment with a personal trainer who has devised me a specific weightloss program and will check how I'm getting on in six weeks so I have got to be very good lol! It's quite good actually, it comes included in the gym membership you get an hours training every 6 weeks. But I have just made mince pies so that might not have been the best idea ever...

Anyway enough rambling! Hope you are all well!
    xx

Silaqui - I know, it is shockingly expensive!!!! But I *love* it and can afford it so am tempted to say to hell with being MSE this once, and spend £1,300 on my dream dress instead of buying something cheaper that I'm lukewarm about :o Trust me to have expensive taste!

Btw, we can all see your tiny type!!!! :rotfl: But well done on your progress, you are doing amazingly well xxx

"Being MSE" isn't about being cheap though is it. It's about spending your money wisely and getting the most for it. Whether that is spending £10 or £10000. The dress you ARE getting yes it's 'expensive' but that doesn't mean 'overpriced' and therefore 'un-MSE'. For that day's feeling like a princess and everyone oooing over you, then I think it's money well spent and therefore it is MSE. If you were to buy a £100 dress, hate it, spend the whole day wishing you had a different dress, then that would be £100 wasted and that would be very un-MSE. Even though it is less than your budget. I'm not just saying this to make you feel better - it is true - if you put a post up and ask everyone what the definition of being MSE is nearly everyone would reply with something along the same lines as this. (Of course there will always be some that think MSE = low cost). Besides WHEN you order your dress you could always ask about things being thrown in e.g. an underskirt, or free alterations. (The cost of my dress includes alterations for example).

Well diet wise - I've tried really hard to Stay the same this week but with only two more days left before weigh in I'm not sure I'll have succeeded.
Friday lunch - had a prawn & ham salad - that was very diet friendly. But then I bought home that chocolate cake (which was very nice), and because of that we decided to say stuff it for one night and have a Dominos pizza.
Monday lunch - Garlic & mushrooms (covered in cream), and a turkey roast (which was diet friendly - loads of veg). Then I had a mince pie when I got home from work and officially started my holidays.
Tuesday tea - this was the worse of all my meals out. It was with my mum, her partner, my biggest brother and his fiancee. I had a 'pint' of prawns for starter (literally - it was an old fashioned metal pint mug thing full of prawns with shells on - yum). Chicken in a mushroom cream sauce for main. And three dollops of ice cream for pudding.
As of this morning I am 2lbs heavier than I was last Friday - so I'm going to need all the luck to get back down to 9st12.5 for Friday.

Oh I forgot to add - my mum's face last night also helped make my mind up about the colour of my hair - it was a look of disappointment lol. :) And MrD finally gave me an answer - said he wanted red. Lol.

What I'm going to do is:
Get my hair done on Saturday 14th July for our wedding.
Go on Honeymoon 26th July - spend all the time underwater where all my redness will wash out. (lol don't you love the magic of leaking red hair dye!)
Then when I come back from the honeymoon go back to the hair dressers and get my hair recoloured ready for my brother's wedding on the 11th August. :D
  • Exciting news this morning.... my sister gave birth to my niece early this morning I think she's about 5lbs.. so will be going to visit them this evening after work. But I don't have a Christmas present for niece. My mum's really excited and shocked at the same time. Baby wasn't due until around 22 January....

    Right, coffee time and work.

Oh wow!! Congratulations to your sister!! Cor what an early baby - she was obviously far too excited about Christmas to wait!! :D
  • I know, so I've got two small girls to contend with on Christmas day. We're across the road to H2B's parents for lunch then to my aunt's in the evening for mayhem!

But the pressure is still off from my aunt now baby has arrived about my wedding.
