PinkPrincess83 wrote: »Melanie- hope things get better at home- werent you saying the other days boys were less of a handful than gilrs or something similar!!:D I would love to start my christmas shopping now but just dont have any pennies! I have got a couple of small presents for my friends 2 kids but thats about it!
Day one of being good is going ok so far- Im currently eating some very odd tasty soup I got, its spicy sweetcorn- but I keep telling myself its low in cals and will fill me up!!:rotfl:
Ive just seen a necklace I think its just right to go with my tiara, im going to go in with my tiara tomorrow and see how it looks. Its difficult cos I want something to match my tiara but not take the attention away from the tiara- as its so pretty!!
A bus would be so cool! And I love the weddinging camper vans. What are people doing about getting bridesmaids to the ceremony? I cant afford an extra car so was thinking me and my step dad could go down in the merc we have hired and my 2 bridesmaid and my mum could go down in my sisters car, its a fiat 500 convertible driven by her boyfriend- its cream so I was thinking with some ribbons it would look quite cool, I would just need to double check fil2b would have room in his taxi for my step dad to go back to reception- oh and Im thinking flower girl can just go down with my sister (the one who isnt bridesmaid)- do you think this would be ok? the bridesmaids dont have to be in a weddinging car do they???
I'm wondering the same! Can't even really afford one carThe reason I wanted a VW camper for me, OH, BM and GM was that it would transport us all together, but £400+ is just way over budget!!! If we get a friend to drive us, then the rest of the wedding party can go in other cars, right? Or will that look cheap?
Maybe I should splash out on the VW
Hope the necklace and tiara go well together xx7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs14 Feb: 10st4.5lbs

Hi girls,
I was thinking about just getting taxis instead of 'proper' wedding cars. They do them up with the ribbons and flowers:

What do you think?
Also, is anyone else on Pinterest? Would be lovely to share ideas on there!0 -
Lovecake- I think they will look great.
fil2 is a cabbie and drives a 7 seater and has already said he will do a trip or 2 from the ceremony to the reception, and hopefully he will put some ribbons on. I am paying £140 for a silver merc, I thought this was a reasonable price. Its just what to do about the bridesmaids and my mum. My Mum could drive step dads car with some ribbons on but I do think it would be easier to take my sisters car as she is staying right by the reception so it would be handy for her to have her car there anyway- plus I do love her little car!!
Ohhh- whats pinterest?
Mil2b has dropped my tiara in- I can take it with me tomorrow when I go and see if it matches the necklace!!
Wanchai- have you had a look around for quotes? Do you not know anyone who knows someone who has one? or have you look to see if there is a local VW group- you may be able to get in touch and see if someone is willing to help you out for a bit less than £400.0 -
Heh heh another bonus of not having bridesmaids - I don't have to worry about how they will get to the church. My thoughts on the matter though is the same as usual - do whatever you want to do and do feel like you have to do anything. For me if I was having some they would be going down in an ordinary car - possibly even driving themselves!! But that is because I'm going in a normal car - I'm not even planning on having any ribbons. I am half hoping to be able to drive myself but I think that may be asking for the impossible with my dress. If I was going in a luxury car, then at the very least I'd like my bridesmaids to be altogether either in a semi-posh car or a normal car. lol I'm rambling - it's been a long day and I'm getting hungry.
Melanie - I am sure things will sort themselves out at home... lol if it's a 16 year old boy issue though you may have to wait till he's in his mid-twenties :rotfl: Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. And well done on the 3lbs loss... even if it's not 'real' weight loss - it's still not a weight gain, so definitely deserves celebrating if you ask me!
Emma - Do we have piccies of this new necklace? Lol aren't I demanding!
I can't wait till I can go try on my dress again - I plan on taking some hair clips to sling my hair up in a disheveled heap. Taking my shoes, and necklace to see if they all go with the dress. :T cannot wait!
Right off to grab a yoghurt and watch some trashy TV until MrD gets home.0 -

I havent got it yet, but if I buy it tomorrow I will attempt some photos at the weekend! I may need to do it when your around as I may get stuck and need your help!!:rotfl:.
Well I was thinking my flower girl will be 4 so it may be easier for my sister to get her ready at their house rather than having a four year old to sort out aswell, I guess I need to chat with my both my sisters to see if they have any problems with my plans!!0 -
My Mum has said that she is now ready to pick up my wedding dress. I am going to call the shop tom and am hoping to get it in the next couple of days. Am tempted to try it on even though it prob wont fit over my bump.
On my wedding day my Mum is planning to take my bridesmaids in her car. It is a nice posh Saab and they are just going to do it up with some ribbons. On top of that My brother is driving me and my dad in his car. Can't remember what it is but it is a really posh company car. That means my wedding transport is not going to cost anything xx0 -

I need to find someone with a posh car!!:rotfl:. I know people with nice cars and cool cars but not posh cars!! Ill have to have a think about who I know and what cars they have!
Oh thats good news about your dress being in and ready to pick up. Im starting to get get so excited as its coming round so quickly- I cant wait to see everyone elses photos!0 -
The bus we saw yesterday came in at £700 . . . H2b nearly fell off his chair! Lol so he has gone back to the more local company and that's £460. Still a lot but the Masseratti he likes is £350 and the bus will take all our guests! He's paying so he gets to choose!0
-
How cool would a masserati be. Comparing prices though the bus is still very cool and better value for money- how is your oh going to decide!Just spoken to my mum who was saying her friend is a taxi driver with a silver mini bus so she may find out what he would charge to put ribbons on and take them, or she does have it in her head she wants to arrive 'in style' (her words) so would like a limo (I think this has been influenced by my little sister who wants to have a ride in one:rotfl:)!0

I would so do that, but there are no black taxis (i.e. cities) near where the wedding will be!But it would be lovely. I love old fashioned black cabs.
Not on pinterest - can you explain how to use it? I looked at it once and got scared off! :rotfl:PinkPrincess83 wrote: »Lovecake- I think they will look great.
