It's a tough call! Can you afford the more expensive one? If you can, just go for it - after all you'll be wearing it forever! I had quite an expensive and blingy engagement ring so I just went for a plain band that came in under £200, but that was exactly what I wanted. if you want the bling then go for the bling I say! Or maybe shop around for a similar band to see if you can get it cheaper?

I do like the diamond one, it's very pretty lol!

OTOH, my engagement ring is very simple and classic (round brilliant cut diamond solitaire)... so maybe I should go for the plain band so that it doesn't overshadow the e.ring?

We can afford the dearer one but it's way over budget! I have budgeted £400 for my wedding ring and am reluctant to go much over it.

I've just called a jeweller I know to see if he can do me a good deal on a channel set ring, so he's calling his supplier to see if they can do it in palladium. Apparently palladium and platinum have very similar qualities and won't destroy each other, but palladium is much cheaper. So we'll see!

Im thinking of getting the I do stickers aswell- mainly for my something blue as I cant think of anything else!:rotfl:

Wanchai, go for whatever ring you love and are going to love forever. And just something to consider, if you went for a plain band now could you/ would you want an eternity ring in a few years- if so you could get the perfect diamond ring youve seen. (you may not want an eternity ring so ignore this if that is the case!!)

I have just decided in a few years i want a wishbone shaped diamond eternity ring as I think it will fit nicely against my engagement ring!! (wont tell oh this yet!!:rotfl:)

Ladies, you lot are very chatty!

The weird thing is that I also had a wedding dream, only last night! after don't tell the bride I think...

I dreamed that I had to arrange my wedding in 3 DAYS... and by the time of the wedding lots of guests turned up but I hadn't even sent the invites out... how crazy eh?!

ps I also love the stickers!

I think we've talked about the stickers before... I do like them - but the obsessive in me doesn't like the fact they aren't the right font for me. If I was having them I'd want them to be the same font as my invites - I know I know noone is sad enough to notice - lol but I would. There are other options - if you stick 'letter decals' into google you can get them in whatever size, font, colour you want (okay they won't be sparkly like the ones above but at least they'd be the right font). At one place I found (I didn't do an extensive search) I could get 3 letters (I do) in burgundy, gothic centry, 5cm tall for £1.20 including postage.

:rotfl:Natalie - that's funny! U are really thinking about the details there! I'm sure your day will be perfect if you are putting that much thought into everything

Wedding update - I'm having a consultation with a florist on Tuesday! Flowers are really important to me and I'm hoping we have a good connection because I really like her work! Plus, her studio is iright next to my dressmaker so it will be really handy!

I emailed my dressmaker yesterday to see if we needed to start doing anything with my dress and she said it was still too early . I'm getting so impatient! Everyone else seems to be trying on dresses or picking theirs up to bring home and mine is still a sketch on a piece of paper! Gggrrrrr! :rotfl:

If it makes you feel better, I haven't even chosen a dress yet!!! I really need to get my skates on and visit some more shops

I couldnt find a wedding ring I liked without a huge price tag that sat nicely with my engagment ring, so I have opted to go for a ring that will sit on its own and I am going to wear my engagment ring on my right hand, and hopefully in a few years I will find a yellow gold 18k wishbone shaped eternity ring to sit with my engagement ring on my right hand. I went for this bling ring as I wanted it to be all sparkley and pretty as it has to sit on its own.

Natalie- that is so ocd!!

Lovecake- I only have my dress as home as it was in a sample sale and so I had to take it staight home. (its in mil2bs spare room!).

Wanchai- Ive always preferred yellow gold on me, I love white gold, and it always seems lately that the nicest rings are white gold (and usually in budget), but I just prefer yellow gold on my fingers.

Wanchai- hope your ok and hope you and oh have made up now.x
