I think tasks for this weekend will be finish the last few invites, find my camera and share some photos and I think ill sort out my photo charm for my bouquet aswell so that mil2b has it there and ready for when she does my flowers. She managed to ordered in the roses I wanted for my centrepieces (they only had a few left and she wasnt sure if they could get more in) so thats another thing sorted.

Checked my budget spreadsheet earlier and it all seems to be on track, my nan has said its her 'thing' to pay for the cake

The dress arrived today! Trying to resist sneaking a peek at it at work and will try it on as soon as I get home! I'll keep you all posted xx

I have finally made a decision on the evening buffet. I am going back to my original plan of a cheese-wheel cake. Due to costs from venue 1 we had to scrap evening food and were going to rely on a wedding cake instead (they wanted £1100 for cheese and crackers only) but this venue is much more reasonable and they do savoury cheese and cracker deals. So i'm have a cheese-wheel cake and the hotel have suggested i have a red cheese cut in a heart shape to stand upright on the top to double us as a cake topper! I like that idea.

(Diet has been off plan for 2 whole weeks now and my wedding dress is whispering to me - "you are never going to get into me you fatty!!")

Hmm, tricky one! For the sake of £50 the M&S ones are pretty good, so it's up to you and your OH I guess xxx

It is of course your wedding Melanie - BUT lol I don't like raw cheese so I would really appreciate some normal cake. Lol. Remember though you cannot please everyone! Soooo pleased that you can have the cheese-wheel cake though - I remember how gutted you were when your first venue said you couldn't use outside caterers and when their price was just ridiculous.

Emma - lol yep I think I have decided I'm going to stop talking to you till you get us some photos

Oh and diets? Mines been going really well - From when I woke up Monday morning to now I've been a sensible girl. But now I'm shattered and I really fancy a Dominos Pizza. Argh! I hope MrD comes home and says No! (I have very little will power!) Actually I might have a nap.

Natalie- you will probably be disappointed when you see them!!:rotfl:I may have some more interesting photos to show you after tomorrow- i have decided enough is enough of putting it off, i need to try my dress on in the hope it motivates me to start being good!!

Wanchai- let us know how you got on with your dress.

No one should expect anything- but I personally think it would be nice to have a little bit of cake to offer people- but its your day so if you dont want cake dont feel you have to.

I didn't try the dress on as I met my friends for drinks after work... will do it in the morning, promise xx

I did, it didn't fit around the back It's lovely apart from that. I need to get serious about my diet!!!!

I ordered free STD magnets from Vistaprint (did I tell you that already??), so can't wait to get them!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are soooo cute! :D:D

Our budget is creeping up a bit, am worried that it will go too high!

No pics of dress this time- I need to lose a couple of inches and it will fit and ill take some pics. I reckon half a stone will get me to the size/ weight I was when I got it and ot fitted perfectly so i just need to get back into being good then I will have some pics taken and will share with you.

I did have a pearl necklace to go with it, but it doesnt go so Im now on a misson to get something sparkley and pearly! And I was have shoe wobbles but I tried them on and loved them so thats good. Oh and I think the petticoat I got will be fine (its a bit hard to tell when I need it taken up so much but I think it will take the dress away from my legs but not make the dress too big!) Oh and my dress has a flower on it which had a gold middle, but mil2b is changing it to pearls for me!

Oh and I was going to take a picture of my centrepieces but mil2b said I had to wait until they were done properly!!

Wanchai- thats a shame about the dress- im guessing it would have been good for your budget if it had fitted. I was very happy with the items I got from Vistaprint so im sure your save the dates will be great.

You are doing so well with all your accessories, that's fab! Let's encourage each other with the weight loss. I would really like to get this dress zipped up to see how it looks properly. If it fitted it would be a total bargain - £40 wedding dress lol!!!

Your petticoat sounds gorgeous.
