Where is your car now
If its on a public road at the moment, if so you can still be done for no tax, whether youre driving it or not.
Try and get it up someones drive.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Yeah its outside my house, but apparently the car will officially classed as untaxed from midnight 10th Jan. That's what I was told by the DVLA...........
Unfortunately I dont know anyone with a drive, really dont know what to do with regards to that? except drive it............0 -
Wow, you are really pushing your luck.
I wish you lots of it.
Hope everything will be okay.
Like I say, hope you have the details of the time and date and the name of the person who told you this.
It will be your only defence.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Yeah, It's all 'Systems go' now for the police!!
Nothing will be missed or 'Overlooked' I should think.
Traffic law is VERY strict (For some reason) maybe because it is a BIG revenue intaske for the Govt.
You slip up then they will 'DO' you in well known terms.
It's understandable but it doesn't give people any form of 'Leeway' with things.Thomson 757 Man0 -
Think it will get to the point where the DVLA will already have your Bank details and then they 'Automatically' take the payment every 6 or 12 months by a standing order mandate ??Thomson 757 Man0

No post " my cars been stolen " oh no the DVLA have taken it?
I think you got it a bit wrong, They are allowing extra time for the discs to arrive so you wont get done
for not displaying the disc BUT... and its a big BUT... You must have a valid disc in force which you dont.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

The DVLA will not enforce non payment of the lapsed tax until 10th of Jan as you have been informed by them. However you could receive a ticket for failing to display, which is an offence even if the car is taxed.
Best hiding it somewhere until you have the disc!;)0
