open a paypal dispute and say its fake, ask them to send a prepaid returns envelope0
-
Send them back by recorded delivery, this is all you have to do, keep the receipt as proof of delivery to them and you will get your refund.0

Opened a paypal dispute. says i am entitled to a refund if i send the items back. dont think this is fair, as i am now going to be out of pocket for sending them back recorded delivery.
oh well.0 -
As I said in my reply to you ^^ post 4
....open a case in Ebay.....
but you opened a case in Paypal. Now you have to do what Paypal require.0 -
hi, i did open a case in ebay first, i got the same result, you are entitled to a full refund if you send the items back.
i thought this was unfair so i then opened a case in paypal. only to get the same result. the case was only open for 5 minutes before i got 'we have looked through your case carefully and you are entitled to a full refund if you send the items back to the seller' and so on...
Was a bit sudden really, surely not right... anything else i can do?0 -
Might be worth asking the seller to refund the postal costs - Depends if the seller is aware he's selling fakes. If it was an error i for one would refund the postage to apologise.0

contacted both ebay and paypal by phone, BOTH said I had to get documentation to prove the items were fake to receive a full refund and then destroy the items without sending them back.
so as one last measure i have contacted the seller to say i am not losing money and time over this stupid experience for you to re-sell the items and to commit another crime. i said i would either get the documentation or contact the police over this matter. i am sick to death of this happening on ebay.
would contacting the police be successful?0 -
Try trading standards first - There have been a number of successful prosecutions over fake Ebay goods in the past. Trading standards are generally excellent at providing the best advice as they also gather the information on any copyright crimes at the same time for future possible cases.0

thanks you for your replies.
usually i would have just sent the items back straight away but the seller is being so stubborn and rude ive decided to act differently.
he wants the items back and refuses to refund until he receives them despite my threat of police.
what can i do, so frustrating ahhhh:mad:0 -
Send the items back, By recorded to reclaim your payment. You may not get the return postage cost but you are able to report the fakes to trading standards/ebay/police. Then leave negative feedback to warn buyers - be honest and avoid personal remarks as these will get the FB removed. Sadly you'll end up down if the sellers being difficult but make sure this is added to FB. It might be worth mentioning the seller as i've seen a few MSE'rs compile their own blocked/dodgy ebay lists.0
