hello Happy Valentines day, well kind of

have yet another assignment due in on wednesday but was away all weekend seeing friends so am only getting it done now. Had the worst PMT of my whole life this weekend and threw a huge paddy, stamping feet, tears the lot, poor OH didn't know what to do, funny now but at the time, having a dress (OH had bought me one for Valentines day)that made me look 'fat' was the end of everything!! Really need to find a cure for this PMT as I can't go through this every month!!

To be honest that wasn't the whole reason I was upset, we went to visit friends of ours this weekend and went with other friends, and these are people with kids who work part time etc etc.... and they were reallly spending their cash, buying all these lovely things, and I just felt awful..... I used to love shopping and spending my money on clothes and getting nice things to wear for that night out, but seriously, at the moment I have about £10 if that to my name.... OH paid for everything this weekend.... I just can't get over how much money these people spend I mean £120 dress £85 shoes etc etc, dior make-up every single person bought a new pair of shoes seriously! I used to be like that, and loved it! I guess I feel like i am working so hard for very little and feel a bit silly with my ebay/primark clothes, I love nice things, so why cant I afford them and they can.... really considering getting a weekend night job.... its not like i have tons of debt either its only about £1000 if that now.... It just made me feel like crap that one of the things I used to love doing I cant do but everyone else can!!

Tiny bit upset too OH hasn't got me a card or flowers, for valentines, I know I got a dress, but he said he couldnt get me a card as I had the car, although he went to the post office the other day and there is a newsagents across the road, and we went into the mall. He was going to nip and get one now but I said theres not much point as there will only be the dregs left! Im now not a fan of valentines day and wish I hadn't spent the £4 on a card for him, which could have quite nicely have gone on petrol grrrrr men!! sorry I know I'm being ungrateful but all I wanted really was a card....

Sorry for the rant, I guess Im just feeling a bit down.... PMT grrrr really must get on and do my assignment!

Been thinking, need to do an overhaul, of finances, stuff, clothes, shoes, me, just everything really, trouble is OH is here which makes it a little bit more difficult, although next week is half term will hopefully be able to steal a day to do stuff. Right this second to get the ball rolling, am going to pull out ten things from my warderobe that I was hoping would sort of look ok, but obviously dont and therefore havent worn for years.... 2 secs...

done, feel mildly better, still have clothes which i am going to 'slim into' I've given myself 50 days, then we will see what we can do. OH got tons of shopping for me delivered today and I will start running again tomorrow, think this will help my PMT too.

Oh, Missy,hope you will feel better! Try to enjoy Valentine's day with your lovely OH .

We don't celebrate it but got a snickers bar for OH and a card (hmm I had it for about 5 years now for him but will only give it to him if he has something for me . I'm not bothered, right now babysitting instead of being at home, I figured it was a good way of making money rather than spending it:).

Why don't you do a 50 day challenge? Give yourself 50 day to achieve all those things you want right now and look back on it when it finishes. I did a 100 day challenge which finished just before Xmas, out of 12 things I achieved 10 and not 2 but it was a good motivation to have things done.

Just remember one thing - yes they spent loads but can they really afford it, or was it the bravado many of us had before our LBM's?

We don't do cards as they are just a money making scam by the shops :money:.

Once you have finished your training and become a teacher your salary will increase, you will be saving into a pension etc, this is just a short time in the rest of your life. You had money in the forces but you didn't like the hours or the travelling or the job!
