Do those numbers mean the compressor has run for 1965 hours and additional heat for 410 hours?
Yes
Is some (or maybe all) of that for disinfection, or is that recorded separately?
Not recorded, only the additional heat usage
You do need to know how many kw that additional heat system is rated at to understand how many kwh you have been using.
See my point regarding getting into the service menu for those details.
I will remove the next paragraph if my opening is incorrect.
If there is additional heating built in, I would suggest that if you are seeing some milder temperature days this week, you check the kw daily usage on your electric meter and also compare with those running hours to discover if additional heat running hours is still increasing, and what the system is using. It could/should be, as I said some posts back, that additional heat was required below ?? ambient temperature, but it can run without this above ??degc.
But this is how most installers/specifiers choose the size of system. The capital cost increase to the next size of HP is not justified for the 10 or 20 days that the extra capacity is needed, so additional kw is provide by resistancwe heaters. In your case, it looks like 20% ish could be too high for the time it has been running, and the model is undersized.
My current concerns are flow rates and temps from the ground loop and timer settings on the internal temperatures, plus the heat load and kick in time for additional heat.As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -

Likewise watching with interest.
Not wanting to 'tread on Geotherm's toes' and just a question, but wouldn't the escape of gas mean the pump is running below capacity and thus give the appearance of an undersized system?0 -

we were told the loss of gas would make it more inefficient.. so am booking someone to top it back up.
Ice Energy are stating its company policy for their guys ONLY to touch it or else it invalidates warranty and hey want £420
Am asking them to email me their terms and conditions that state this to prove I'm not being strung a line!
Garage floor has been flooded with glycol three times so am going to try to see if that persuades them to knock a bit off the bill too. (lucky for us the pumps not fitted in a carpeted room eh!)
The house is a new build so is very well insulated and when commissioned engineer said it was all running fine and drawing same power as two kettles!
The Ice Energy tech guys havent been too helpful... and dont seem to have the knowledge that you chaps here do. so am hoping with some altered settings we can bring it more in line with a normal electric bill.
husband is pretty handy at plumbing/heating systems etc - so hopefully if all this advice means nothing to me. .it will do to him!
Forgive me if i come back asking stupid questions - you guys are used to speaking 'tech' everyday.. I just work at a design agency!!0 -
Geotherm..."Possibly not Cardew. The heat delta in GT8/9 is virtualy spot on ( the pump will cut out if the delta exceeds 14C, or is too low )."
Do you think that we DONT need to top the gas up then?
Would rather not waste £420 if not TOTALLY necessary at this stage. Especially when I have a £590 leccy bill to pay now!! OUCH Expensive month!0 -
I would still like the figures for 24 hour usage, as my main concern is the operating hours with the electrical heating cutting in. Please record all those from menu 7. You did not give me a figure from 7.4, so would appreciate that.
When did you let the refrigerant out?As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0 -
Do you know how much refrigerant was released?
The system performance "may" seem ok at present, but the compressor relies on the cold suction vapour for cooling the windings. If the suction superheat is too high, it will not be doing the compressor any favours.
BTW - it can be anything up to a £20,000 fine for releasing refrigerant to atmosphere - accidental or not !!
It's now illegal to work on / fiddle with, any system containing refrigerant without the appropriate qualifications / documentation....;)Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0 -
I don't have a 7.4 menu! It goes from 7.3 to 7.5 when in k2 mode0

In the service menu under 5.2 what is the additional heat set at?As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0
