Hiya
Just to let you know I started my diary. It's called Life begins at the end of 41k debt. Well done with capital one. I try to sort all my finances out online, as I tend to lose it when talking to my creditorsLBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x

Today is a GOOD day - YEY!!! :j:j:j
This morning I checked and the cheque has cleared so on the way to work I put £10 petrol in which I hope to last me until tomorrow night. Incidentally I wouldn't have got to work as was truly running on fumes.
Then I paid my arrera with Cap1 so I am free of them YEY and I am celebrating as I will NEVER be in that situ with them AGAIN. (lots of caps going on here lol). However I won't get too excited too soon as I am still in arrears with Virgin as haven't been able to pay them last month's pay but I have spoken to them and they know I will be paying etc etc.
The true celebrations will be on Tuesday when I get paid and I have cleared all arrears. OMG if I am like this with arrears can you imagine how I am re debt when that's gone! Will be rolling around the room.
Also I have someone coming tonight to look at and hompefully buy the baby monitors I advertised in the paper for £25 so will be able to get the groceries in we've ran out of and I keep telling hubby I forgot to get them. What a nightmare this month has been financially.
Someone at work also owes me £20 and she seems to have forgotten about it! She mentioned it yesterday that she'd bring it in today but hasn't mentioned it today - I won't say anything until later but I will go so red asking for it - why?!?! Silly I know but that's me.
Looking forward to updating my figures next week.
Been very busy at work this morning so lunch time will be here before we know it then another day over.
Hope you are all having good days too and hugs to those who aren't. :ADebt - CCV £3792

Hi DF
Woo hoo for clearing Cap 1 :j
I understand about asking for the money from your colleague, I hate, hate, hate having to do this - it also makes me really cross as they shouldn't put you in the position of having to ask in the first place grr!
Phew to the cheque clearing and being able to get some petrol

Hi DF,
Glad you are having a good day. Great news about the cheque.
I totally agree with woo woo, they should never put you in that position in the first place. i'm the same, hate the thought of asking, but its them who should be embarrased. I totally agree. Also (although I am the pot calling the kettle black) until you are out of the situation you're in, it might be best not to lend people money. Just say you don't have it on you. HI,
I was going to jump on the £20 owed bandwagon but then read your latest post!
Congrats on the arrears, have you tried reclaiming PPI. No messing but it feels like you've won the lottery when you get your money back.
Off to rant in my own diary.
Love me.

Hi All,
It's only Friday!!!!
4 more sleeps til pay day yey!!! :j :T
Today I have spent working properly and working out my meal plan for next month in between real work lol. Sounds a bit OCD I know but needs must so I can plan how to spend my grocery budget. I know what we're having now and will get the "big" shop (ie non perishable) on Tuesday. Then every Saturday or Sunday I will go for the perishable stuff for the coming week. Tesco isn't too far from us, within walking distance so would like to try and walk but depends if getting milk for us all which is 12 pints a time.....will have muscles like arnie! If that one doesn't work out I can nip to Asda on a Thursday lunch time. Work in progress there. Sunday walking is cheaper....
What else had happened - no more payments made (boo) but I literally have £5 for emergency petrol which I am going to need for monday's petrol.I had to make an extra run in the car last night which used up what would have used today and in turn today's has used Monday's so am back to running on fumes! Don't know if they will get me home! Never mind!!!!
Also I have tallied up petrol costs and working out it's costing me £25/£30 a week depending on the week I am on so petrol budget needs to go up by £20. A chunk of my wage is going to getting me there - go figure?!
I have also decided to have 1 cheap night out a month with DH which he will take turns in paying but I am going to budget to pay every month then when he takes turns I can use it as over payment. Just a nice cheap meal and cinema or meal out in the local village etc. Nothing fancy and nothing expensie.
This afternoon I am going to close Cap1. Can't wait!!!!
