  • Hi All!!!!

Here I am. I am forcing myself to post as I keep thinking I will do it soon and I haven't!

I had a lovely time off with the kids and DH however I didn't see much of DH as he is renovating part of the house! I have been bathroom-less for the whole holiday and it is a nightmare!

Anyway I am off again in October and am looking forward to a DIY free time away from the office.

I haven't been reading posts which has it's good and bad points. The bad being you fall out of step far too easily - taking eye off the ball and all that!

I spent a fortune on things I just didn't have to but enjoyed myself so am getting back into it again now by forcing myself to post. I did check in to make sure all was ok in bank account etc though - OCD!

So back on track, starting diet today too so hopefully that will be a good point for the next few weeks.

How is everyone? I haven't caught up yet so some bed time reading over next few days me thinks!!!

Hope you are all well and still well and truly on the DF wagon. Catch up soon xxx

  • Hiya DF!

I was thinking about you in the wee hours of this morning trying to work out when you went on holibobs!

Hows the sinusitis? Hope it cleared up for you!

I've had a stint in hospital so debtbusting has taken a back seat in order to pay for hospital parking and vending machine food, payday can't come quick enough now!

Have you checked your figures? Just wondering if Virgin-on-the-ridiculous is displaying that illusive 6 yet? Hope so!

Glad to hear you had a good break and good luck on the diet! xxx
  • HI Df And Winnie!

Was just thinking how I had not seen you about for a while. Hope you maange to break your bad habits soon. Also hope you now have a lavatory...

  • Morning all!!!

Feeling very positive today, it is being back on these boards that does it. Not staying in budget makes me feel like an out of control roller coaster. I sort of enjoy it but it's scary and should only be done in short bursts!

Thanks for the replies peeps. Aww Winnie I haven't been on anyone's diaries yet so hope your stint in hospital is over with and all is well - work is ridiculous as you can imagine and our busy time is only just starting again so God knows what the rest of the year will be like! I will read them asap though.

My sinusitis has cleared up I think although it was touch and go for a while. And as another month has passed we are sub 7k!!!!! Yey for number 6! Shame it's not the total debt that starts with a 6 lol.

My loan is sub 4k too so that's nice to see. I am still waiting on the cheque to arrive! Rang them up and they said expect it around the 11th. Typical.

Also my car needs work doing on it - the breaks from before are even worse now so I am going to have to take it to a garage as my FIL just hasn't been able to get round to fixing it and I am concious that winter's not too far away and I have my kids in the car so must get it sorted.

Lol - skint - I almost have a fully working bathroom- except the sink....! Slowly but surely.....and never again!

I am looking like a drowned rat today - got caught in a right downpour!

    xx

  • Also - today I will close my Cap1 card as it's all moved over to the 0% card now and they have given me the refund for the overpayment I made. Balance is 0 and I asked if any 0% deals and they said no, so I have no reason to stay with them.

I can't wait for the cheque to arrive so I can pay off Next too then close that account.

I will also reduce my OD to 0 at the same time.

Hello and nice to see you back :)

Just to let you know as I know you read my diary - an awful lot has happened while you were away and some of it is not easy reading.

Glad you're feeling better and almost have a fully working bathroom :D
    xx
  • DF am glad you have your mindset back. I felt like I was out of my comfort zone on holiday. Too much spending!

Hi there, Hovel lady and winnie I am going to subscribe to your diaries. I speak to you so much on here and elsewhere.
Bet the bathroom is looking lovely. COuld do with a nice soak.

  • Yey, welcome back DF. Glad your bathroom is coming along nicely.

I find you do tend to go off track a bit when you don't update your diary but don't worry it won't take long to correct. I'm useless on a weekend, I forget to update my spends diary and then spend all of Monday working out what went where. Thats Mondays VIJ (very important job).

Well done on a big fat 6!!!! Won't be long until you pay your cheque in, then you can have a little celebration.

  • Still no chq but it is early as they did say later in week - am so impatient.

I have about £25 left in bank when I should have a lot more, due to overspending when off (whoops) so am really relying on it coming now as that £25 will be for petrol only. i have £20 in purse for grocery essentials so keeping that there for emergency use as when it's gone it's gone! Need to put petrol in today now I come to think of it :s !

I have done well on diet so far and although I have had my breakfast this morning I am really hungry and fancy something off the works trolley. Why is it the things you fancy to eat aren't low fat!!

I want to do something money wise but I have no pennies to use to pay anything off :(

need to sit tight until chq arrives and then hope it clears quickly.

Oooh I also found £28 in my quidco account I didn't know was there - one of these takes 3 months to process jobs so I requested that and they said won't pay out for 10 days due to security reasons! Annoying or what.
