My boy Stanley won't touch either raw or wet food so he's fed on Lidl's biscuits which cost £1.99 for a 750 gramme bag which lasts about a fortnight so that works out at £1 a week0

I have two cats (very outdoorsy and active) they have Sainsbogs dry complete (a bag a week, about £1) plus chicken wings/backs carcasses/lamb ribs/fish heads which I get free from fishman/butcher0

We have two part norwegian forest cats, age 1 year 3 months.
We buy a 10kg sack of Hills dry food every three months from Zooplus, so it's about £45 ish.
They are free-fed the dry food, and have a can of applaws or pouch of cosmo between them every other day ish - any more than this and Splodge gets a splodgey bottom - and being long haired, this is not pleasant for her or us (having to comb it out makes me feel awful because it hurts so much). We buy about £15 of wet food/kitty milk/treats a month.
So we feed two big cats (Nev is about 10kg and Splodge is about 8kg) for about £30 per month.
We actually gave them some prime cod loin last week as it was their first "anniversary" with us (we got them on NYE 2009) and they turned their noses up at it! I didn't count the cost of that because it was just leftovers from our dinner.
Our total cat expenditure (including insurance and "sundries" - such as lint roller tape for floof removal) is about £45 per month. We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

My cat is fed hills vet essentials dried food. A 2kg bag lasts a month and costs me 8.98, i am a vet nurse so do get it at discount usually costs about 12.00.
I think this is reasonable and much cheaper to feed a complete dry diet then pouches of wet food. With cost of insurance, food and flea/worming it costs me about 30 pound a month.0 -

I get the Economy Pack: 2 x 10 kg Royal Canin Feline
I feel Persian, but will change to Dental next purchase.

But it works out about £4.00 a kilo, for one of the top UK cat foods:money::money::money::money:
2 kilos will EASILY do a month per cat, so £8:T:T:T0 -
She WAS on dried - but decided to go on hunger strike when we moved last so now she's on wet pouches (she got her own way after all on that front). She has about 1 1/2 to 2 piouches a day, so goes through a box of 12 in just under a week... but she's always been a small eater - only cat I know who'll turn her nose up at chicken, salmon, turkey and everything else normal cats go bonkers for. She's quite small framed though - but the vet wasn't concerned about her size or condition last he saw of her - she's just one of those that doesn't trough it down like the world's about to end!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

We feed our three adult cats on Fish4Cats; a 15kg bag lasts pretty much dead on 2 months, so thats £30 a month. Occasionally they get Hi-Life/Natures Menu pouches split between them as a treat, but this is not regular.
Fish4Cats is the only dry food that I would personally use (well, there are some others like Orijen that I would probably use were it not for the cost!). Its a premium quality dry food at the same price (or even cheaper) than the popular maize/grain filled brands. I have fed Hills, JWB, Arden Grange, Purely (Pets at Home), Applaws...none of them compare in my opinion. My cats are super-glossy coated, none of them suffer wind or poo issues (one of mine has a super sensitive stomach and is allergic to almost all foods). I can't recommend it highly enough!0 -
I've just bought 144 cans of PAH own brand tinned cat food for £48.85 (special offer and 10% off for signing up to their newsletter). That will last my 3 adult cats 72 days.
Maths isn't my strong point but I think that's around 23p per cat per day.
(48.85/72 then /3)
They have been on the PAH food for about a year or so and are all in fine fettle (maybe a little plump as they don't go out as much in the winter). Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0 -
I just worked this out at approx £12.00 weekly which surprised me actually for our I small Cat and I large Cat They have cod or simular twice weekly and chicken once or twice also then wet type food other days for main meals and dry food as a snack at lunchtimes. Dianne0

Mine get James Wellbeloved dry food plus white fish from Icelands, tins of Sheba and the odd bit of chicken left overs.
At a guess it's probably around 10-15 per week for the four of them (they are quite fussy)!0
