Jenny sorry i have no idea where Port Solent is :o

I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

It's been a few weeks since I was last in the forum, so this may have already been covered: On the yellow SELs recently the date has changed from just a date to "Offer ends on 11/11/06" for example.

The last 3 attempts that I've made (at different stores) to get an r&r on out of date yellow SELs, the CSD assistants first line of defence has been "you have not been charged the wrong price, it says clearly the expiry date for the offer, therefore you have been charged the correct price for today"

At one store when this was happening, a manager was called and the CS girl told the manager that they had received a bulletin stating that in these circumstances the difference only could be refunded at CSD's discretion as a gesture of good will. (The manager by the way said that as he hadn't heard anything about that before, that the full refund policy on the wall behind them should apply) In the end I got a full refund at all three stores but the amount of arguing and stubborness that I had to go through to get it was much much more than before the wording on the yellow SELs changed.

Also... I just wonder if anybody else has had a similar problem to this, I never use my clubcard when in store but do always put the payments onto my debit card and the last 4 times that I have used the debit card in store, the payment has been halted and "Voice authorisation required" has come upon the cashier's display: meaning that I have to go to the CSD every time I want to buy anything so they can get it authorised with the bank.
It's happened at different Tesco stores, and for small amounts. It never happens at Woollies or Asda etc, which leads me to think that it must have been instigated by Tesco. I phoned my bank who said that it was nothing to do with them so it would be either Tesco or Visa?

    Any advice appreciated...
  • Thanks for that Cosmic-Dust. I have yet to get a R & R.Thought the scanners would help

  • I can now tell you all what each of the 4 coupons in the November issue of the free Asda Magazine will save you at Tesco.

The 30p one is worth £1.28
The 25p one is worth £1.43
The £1.50 one is worth £1.50
The 50p one is worth £3.98

    Total = £8.19

5 Free magazines this month will save me £40.95 and that's before any R&R.

Thanks Tesco (and Asda) - Every Little helps. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
IF THIS POST HAS BEEN HELPFUL - PLEASE CLICK ON THANKS :j

This is the discussion thread, where there tends to be a lot of useless and not very productive chat interspersed with some real gems of tesco R&R knowledge, if you're prepared to actually READ the posts.
Take a look at the misprice thread for more useful, condensed info on misprices.
One way or another though, get used to the scrolling!
  • Sorry to ask this question, but have scrolled so much that my eyes are still going up and down? Would someone kindly tell me how you use ASDA coupons in Tesco? Is there a limit, such as 10% off shopping total or anything like that?
