Tesco misprice discussion area part 13

Looks like I've blown my R&Ring possibilities in my local store. Friday night I popped into my local extra for some legit shopping and saw the dark messiah poster, and I thought I fancy a bit of that, so I bought and long story short went to CS for a refund ect. The CS girl was really helpfull, but didn't see the price on the poster, only the sel, so I said I'll show you. Off we went to the display, she agreed, no probs.

On the way back to Cust Servs the security gaurd comes up to me and says can I have a word boss? I says sure. Long and the short of it is he says, we've been watching you on CCTV scanning items and then buying them when incorrectly priced, others have seen you do it too, you're doing alright out of this selling items (!!!!!!???), basically you come in and shop for incorrectly priced items, been looking at prices with your mobile phone (didn't realise there was a problem texting whilst shopping mind), so in summary we'll honour this one, but thats it and we'll be watching you in the future ect, ect, ect.

The thing is though, I haven't really had much from that store because it's where I do most of my food shopping, so I tend to stick to food R&R's now and again, so I'm a bit unsure why they stung me. But hey, fair play, it's all a game, and I'll just travel further afield and keep a lower profile in that store. I'll be working abroad for 4 months soon anyway, no great loss.

But what really annoyed me was this: I went to do my normal weekly shop yesterday and the same security gaurd was on. Obviously he clocked me when I came in, and other gaurds kept appearing during my rounds of the shop, nowt better to do clearly. But what really gripped my poo was when I went to the self scan checkout, the gaurd appeared and watched all my shopping scan through like I was some kind of criminal!!!! Boils my blood it does.

Surely it would be better use of tesco's staffs time to just correct the damn missprices instead of making people feel like criminals?

What products do the prices on the new GOTW posters refer to? Now they have 2 or 3 GOTW with a price bubble over one picture of a game.

Xbox 360 GOTW shows Call of Duty 3 and FEAR. Only the reduced price of £37.97 flash is over the FEAR game picture.

Depends when you mean, if it was a couple of weeks ago, that was definately my OH and me, had a bit of a row with the witch after she pointed to her stupid "Bulk buy policy" of one item sign!

In one of my local tescos all the books are stickered with a higher price than the SEL. Don't know if they scan at the lower price as the scanner wasn't working. If they scan at the higher sticker price and not the lower SEL price how do you argue you have been overcharged as the price is blatantly displayed on the book. Most of them are stickered at .97 and the SEL is .96 decided not to give it a go at the mo as all the managers were having a morning meeting and thought it would be a bit too obvious!!!

I don't know you go away for a nice bit of r&r holiday, and what happens you come back and find you are 40 pages adrift. I am clearly going to be tied up for most of the day just catching up with you guys and gals.;)

You will be charged the SEL price, the lower price in every one I've seen & hence no R&R

Thought i had the PC game (messiah?) that was on the poster. SEL £27.97 poster price £24.9x. Thought wont risk the price checker as loads of people on here are getting caught by using that. It only went through the till at £24.9x. made a little excuse and got it refunded at the till.

All 24 and MI3 dvds were correct
