Blimey........... didn't fancy trying the cake one as it is for an Asda cake... back to Tesco tomorrow then!!
  • gonna do a couple more tesco's tomorrow, then thats it on the r & r front for a while, done over £400's worth in a week. but will still keep using the vouchers for as long as they accept them.
  • Fed up again!
Went shopping in my local Tesco today (a big one) with the hope of getting my first R+R along the way but managed to get nothing again.
To be fair it didnt help that there was a serious lack of sels on the cd's and videos section and also that when i did try the one and only scanner in the store to check the prices (others broken) the scanner kept saying i needed to contact a member of staff. does anyone know if this means this scanner was broken too or maybe something else?
Thought i had some potential R+R items but they all ended up the correct price. Looks like my local store is on the ball which is a shame. They may have had some that i wasnt looking for but as i only really want to R+R things i really want or need as opposed to doing it just for the sake of it i mainly concentrate my efforts on bigger items or cd's/dvd,s ect ect.
Well done to those of you that have managed to get some today......Long may it continue!

Yes it was extreme but I was having a bad day!! I was feeling poorly and not in a good mood and I saw so many goodies like the xbox games etc.All looked genuine as they were obvious xmas pressies. None of mine were less than £15 and I thought what the hell - it wasn't a local store and I'm happy to avoid it for a few months. I spose I was lucky but they were genuine in their apologies and could see I wasn't feeling good - maybe they felt sorry for me!!
Anyway I certainly haven't R&R'd that many in one shop before and probably never will again.

I understand what you're saying !, sometimes it's just so frustrating when you can see a trolley full of r&r's in store, I just prioritise the ones I want and come back later in different clothes etc and most likely different CS staff. But agree that sometimes different rules apply when you're at a store that is out of your normal area.

To be honest I ignored 4 r&r's at my local store today (very hard to ignore though), but its my local and I dont want to raise my profile for chocolate and a PC game.

Theres been so much talk about these vouchers on here tonight, i doubt whether they'll still work tomorrow.......but then again.....

so you never shop in tesco but you decide to buy an xbox that strangly has an issue around pricing from tesco , then you dont use your staff discount which would have saved you £25! Sounds fishy to me already!
Why would you even risk your job for an xbox dispute!
And actually those non existance shares are worth 3.6% of wour wages so at 15 hrs 300 quid a year!

A tesco employee shouldn't have to "risk their job" when they genuinely purchase an item from store. Just because you are an employee dosen't mean to say that you forego your statutory rights. Tesco employees in their own time are customers just like every one else. The discount has nothing to do with the issue

If you are a Tesco employee and use your discount then if you do get overcharged you should get a refund minus the 10% you have already saved.

I think if you go back and read this saga....you might question the word in bold in relation to the OP.

It didnt seem "genuine" at all......................I agree with your post however, but dont think it relates to the "saga" in question.

Sadly, we've also had this problem where the staff have moved in after recognising an r&r regular and 'cleaned up' before it even gets to the CS stage. Even accompanying the CS doesn't help in that situation.

Sounds like you'll have to be more aware of what's going on behind you MarineBoy. I'm sure it was McDonag who previously posted that this happened to him, but as an experienced R&Rer he noticed what was happening. I think his response was to lead them a merry dance, scanning everything in sight, loading his trolley high and then dumping it in an aisle and walking out.

Personally, I always go back to double check that this has not happened. I've never thought I've been followed, but don't presume that I haven't.
