Ive been doing great in the run up to xmas. So many bidders and watchers on everything. Even Dvds and old Pc games!!

What do you guys think though, can more stuff be listed tonight or do you think its better to weight till after xmas?

When do you think is the safest last day to end an auction?

Most of my items end on Sunday the 17th and I aim to post the next day on the 18th should they have paid promptly.

So starting tonight, whats the most days I could list them as?

I'd go for 5 day auctions if you're starting tonight or 7 days with added BIN. Last guaranteed posting date for 1st class is 19th December because of Christmas Day being a Monday.

I dont mind tonnes to post. To be honest I cop out of taking 30 items to the one post office because they treat you like crap if you do that. I usually do two lots, one in the morning and one later on. Or just use a different Post Office.

Isnt 5 days a bit short though?

Anyone notice the freudian slip in my last post, I spelt "wait" as "weight"... needless to say Im dieting right now and nervous about the festive temptations!

Many people will only see ur item in the last few days anyway, only those really eager will search back 25pages to find ur item with 6days and 13hrs remaining

5 days should be fine - you'll pick up the people who search by 'newly listed' straight away and you'll pick up the people who only look back the last 24 hours much faster than normal. If you make it 7 on auction only, you're going to miss the last posting date.

I did notice the typo :rotfl: - join the club! OH and I are going along to the gym for our induction tonight to try and get a head start on stopping the rot - but in true MSE style, it's the local council one and they have a special offer on in that if you join up before 14th December, the £32 joining fee is reduced to 1p! Since full peak membership for gym & pool is £21.95 a month, that's essentially 6 weeks' free membership each :T

Im 5 11 and weighed 13.5 stones :o about 2 months ago. I got it down to nearly 12.5 after being a health freak, now Im about 2 flicks under 13 stone!!

Yesterday I had a breakstick for breakfast. 2 bananas, brown roll and scone at work. Then a lamb chop, broccili and rice for dinner!

Today Im going for the same again but minus the scone!!
  • Well, 7 days to go until the end of my challenge and sales have slowed to a crawl so unless someone basically buys the entire shop in one fell swoop, I'm not going to make my £5,000 target.

£3,500 in just over 2 months isn't bad though and more importantly, the money for January's living expenses, credit card bills (in full) and tax bill is in the bank already.

Thanks everyone who contributed to this thread for the encouragement, ideas and inspiration

I am so disappointed in you! How could you not do it! Bad minx! Such an easy challenge! You should've tried harder! :p;)

Hey, just think, after Santa is done delivering and the elves get a breather, they will have to make a start on next year's presents. Maybe they'll buy your entire stock!
Do try to relax over Christmas, try to focus your eyes on distant objects, before you go blind with all these small beads.

PS Yout cat jumping on you when you're working - that cracked me up. I bet she waits for you to get to 99!

    Merry Christmas!
