My £5k by Christmas challenge
Comments
-
Well, I took £126 yesterday, taking my November total to £1765.18 and total total to £2532.71 - over half way there
If I can take an average of £102 a day between now and Christmas, I can win my challenge :j
Right.

I've managed to miss £30 somewhere. My daily totals have come from going into my Paypal account and adding up the gross amount received each day on a calculator then adding in any cheques received. However, I've now downloaded my Paypal history for November into Excel and totalled it up with that for my accounts and I'm 30 quid better off than I thought I was!
So November total is actually £1795.99 and the total total £2563.52 :j

I've had some lovely feedback on my other selling ID about my earrings
very beautiful.better than the picture.will do business again
I've spent this morning making pearl and silver triple drop earrings, which I can honestly say I'm really proud of, they're the best thing I've ever made. I'm crossing my fingers that they a) sell and b) sell for more than the start price!

Sounds like you're doing really well. Can you PM me with what you're selling cos I do like jewellery.

Roversbabe - have done

I got interviewed this afternoon for a 'new year, new life' feature an acquaintance is writing for a website - she wanted a female case study who'd left full time employment to go self-employed and I happened to be in the right age range for the site so said I'd do it. I'm hoping that the site will agree to put a link to my eBay shop at the bottom of the piece!

Where are all these beads going to?
Well done!! Are you working hard to do this or is it just coming to you easily?
The packing must be a nightmare. I sold 50 items in two weeks (loads for me!) and it's really hard keeping on top of who's paid when, what's ready to post. Using just My Ebay is hard, as I have to be vigilant across five pages of sold items. And packaging all manner of shapes and sizes is hard work. But I think my little book is up to date.
Shame it's all going on bills bills bills...:wall:0 -

They're going all over the place! (Especially when I'm curled up on the sofa counting 5000 3mm silver beads into packs of 100 and the cat launches herself onto my lap for a cuddle  ) At the moment it's taking up about 3 hours a day, including going out to the post office.
The packing's not too bad at all, I have the beads all bagged up in the correct quantities, so it's just a matter of slinging them into a jiffy bag. I've taken to buying sheets of 50 large letter first class stamps, so some days it's just a question of pottering down to the post box at the end of the street and emptying a carrier bag. I've got an Ebay To Action folder in my email - everything that hasn't been posted gets marked as unread and put in there until it's dealt with, plus I use selling manager on eBay as a back-up.

I've been a numpty and should have done this sooner - checked Paypal's fee structures this morning and because I had over £1500 go through the account last month, I can go onto their next tier of fees.
5 clicks of the mouse and I'm now paying 2.9% + 20p instead of 3.4% + 20p

cazmanian_minx, I was just short of the paypal limit - by 120 quid last month to qualify for the 2.9% rate - arrrggghhh. But I did manage to get my other paypal account opened for the micro payment rate of 5% + 5p which is great for payments of £12 and under.0
