i know i am OBNW!
Nat i'm sorry but shoes don't do 'it' for me, i have feet that swell after i sprained my foot a few years ago so even if i'd ever been able to wear them that high, i can't now. Now what would interest me is your friday update young lady! lol
hope you have a great weekend, i'm a having a 'list' weekend what with Mr LT being away. already ticked off a load of easy but fiddly things0 -
Nats,
I have a friend who often jokes (I hope it is a joke:think:) that I should wear my wet suit and stilettos and walk up and down his back!
Now I am 5'10" in my stockinged feet so I truly fear the man would end up a colander....
Is this why you covet these [STRIKE]instruments of torture[/STRIKE] shoes?
How was your weekend?LBM- finally kicked in 16/12/08 @ [strike]£41,862 [/strike] £0.00/ DFD- 24/12/13

Welll hello peeps!
Didn't the weekend go quick? I was really rather productive..... I finished painting the window surrounds in the bedroom on Sat and started painting the curtain poles (currently dark brown wood - soon to be satin white!) Refuse point blank to buy new ones.... trying to harness my "make do and mend" inner goddess. Tidied the house and vacuumed (not hoovered) upstairs and on the stairs and all the clothes washing was sorted, dried in the windy sunshine and put away.
Yesterday, I was 'Barbara'!! Outside in my little veg patch I now have potatoes, onions, radishes and carrots. Tomatoes and runners will follow shortly from my mum, then I can assess the situation and see if I have any room for something leafy (thinking rocket!). I coerced OH into putting up the new blinds in the bedroom and then we went out for a drive around and a quick drink - then it was home for a bite to eat and off to poker. 2 abysmal games, but also caught up with a friend of mine that I haven't seen for a while - but he was slightly worse for wear, so not sure how much he will remember!
Shoes!! Well, where can I start? I just love shoes - I think because I spend every day in steel toe-capped boots (although they are the prettiest ones I could find in a light tan colour) when I am out and about I like to wear heels (although more in winter than summer), or pretty flats! they just change an outfit!! I love heels the most and I would probably oblige if someone wanted their back walked on!! Last night, I was looking through the 'Fabulous' mag whilst chatting to my male friend and there was this lush pair of platform wedges in bright yellow, blue and red. He was soooo astounded that I would even contemplate wearing them that he offer £20 towards them.... they are only £49.99 = VERY TEMPTED!!!!!
Will post a link to them if I can find one!
So, tonight I will prob be here a little later than usual - and then home to paint some more of the curtain poles and try and locate some curtains (what a nightmare - I have an image of what I want which naturally means that they don't exist!)
Right, toddling off now - catch you all later - and I promise to include some financial news in my next post!!

you put me to shame. I've just taken down the black curtain poles that were in my place before i moved in and bought some new metal ones. I guess i should have repainted them, oh the shame of being a wastral. I have told OH that when we sell up the curtain poles and hold backs are coming with us though.0

Oooh, look at what I bought online last night! (naughty naughty!)
Dandelion wall stickers to go on my plain lime green wall to break it up and match in with my wallpaper! (wont be putting the grassy bit up!) Can't wait - and I scoured the net and got them cheap as chips! Coming out the decorating budget, so thats ok.
Curtain poles are coming along nicely!!! Kitchen smells of oil-based paint now, but that will pass!! :O)
LT - can you re-use your old poles anywhere else -or for anything else?
Only "BAH" of the day is that the car finance people messed up my new DD details and instead of copying over my existing details, copied over the one with my old bank account details on it - meaning that they took the money from an account with no money and no OD; luckily (in a funny way) the bank honored the transaction - but then charged me £25 for the privilege!!! Call to the finance people and also the garage who set up the details to see who would like to give me my £25 back (as of yet, I have received no DD details from the finance people to check, so I couldn't have know it was wrong!!)
Oh well - never a dull day here - apart from the weather today.... cloudy, but warm!
Off to the gym tonight, so I won't be home til a bit later and I am going to have a look at reclaiming OH's PPI! Oh, the fun of it! lol
Have a good Tuesday evening everyone - Laters, Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

I'm thinking pole dancing, and if LT straddles the pole with her legs akimbo in the air that's got to be good for the swollen feet.
Nice dandelions xLBM- finally kicked in 16/12/08 @ [strike]£41,862 [/strike] £0.00/ DFD- 24/12/13

lol OBNW that is so far from the realms of posibility that it's hillarious.
love the dandelions Nat, now i'm wondering where i could use them, they are fab!0 -
Am actually in love with wall stickers in general. Never put any up, so the dandelions will be the first - if all goes well then I feel a few more being purchased for different areas of the house! They do soooo many different ones.... from flowers to astract circles and footprints, to quotes and disney characters!!! Definitely worth looking through the net properly though as the price range is amazing!!!
LT - if you fancy giving the pole dancing a go - I've got a lovely pair of shoes you can borrow!
OBNW - maybe if LT has no use for her old poles, she could send one to you.... I can tell you are itching to have a go - and again, I could lend you a pair of suitable shoes (don't think you would get the necessary slippage in a wetsuit though..... screech, screech, screech!) lol
Right - Had better do some work - am in charge today as the directors are out!
