Having a Grrrrrr day today (despite being paid as tomorrow is a BH!!) !!!!

Finance company haven't received the settlement cheque for my old car - dealer says cheque has been sent, but for a lower figure than agreed as they got a new settlement figure dated after I had made my monthly payment! I am now waiting for a call back from the dealer - its taking them a while to realise that all the figures were based on the old settlement figure and if they have paid less, they now owe me directly the difference!

I have cancelled the DD for the old agreement, so I am not worried about them getting more money out of me - but I would like what is mine!! And soon would be good too! ;)

Will wait for them to think it through - I have a feeling I will be calling them back!!!

So, as predicted I had to call them!

And I spoke to the man who had been passed my file as promised. Now, bearing in mind, he is the 'finance man' who ran through my finance agreement, contract and took the deposit, he has no idea what is happening and why the cheque was made out for a lower amount and needs to speak to the manager. Fine - but he is not in until Saturday!! I have been promised that someone will call me on Saturday!! Well I am at work until 2 and then I think I might be going in there! I am not impressed either that they raised the cheque to clear the finance on the 19th!!! 7 working days after I exhanged the cars!!! No wonder the finance company haven't received it yet!!!

I am also waiting for a nice man from the dealers body-shop to call me today as well. I daren't hold me breath on that one!!! ;)

So, I am seething!!! And I am starting to rant about everything!!!

What was I saying a day or so ago about dealing with fall-out??? :o

    breathe........
hope you get your finance etc sorted soon,
i remember the last car i bought, they took the DD two weeks after i bought it and when i phoned up the tell them to give me my money back they said i'd bought my car a month before i did! told them i had the receipt for a deposit paid after they said i'd purchased it, eventually they sorted it out.
i did find out a couple of years later i had the same loan on my credit record twice with one months difference in the starting date, i did query and get it changed but i wonder what difference that would have made in these days of tight restrictions on finance if i hadn't spotted it.
  • SSSSSSSSSSSSSooooo how did the decorating go?
Did you have a good Easter/holiday/royal wedding?

Are you sulking because there are only four paydays this month;)

I am back - but soooo busy!

Only 4 paydays is not good, but I am resigned to the fact that there are far more of them than I would like.

Got the excess money back from the car dealer.

Decorating went ok - bedroom done - hate wallpapering!!!

Money is ok, I am still not sure where it all seems to go though?!!!

OBNW - did you go to London for the wedding? I was looking out for you on the TV - were you the one with the flag????

Good morning! Just time for a quick update....

Having one of those weeks where I am just fed up of watching my pennies (or lack of!) so closely. I want to be able to blow £140 on a lovely pair of shoes when I see them - not work out how long it will take me to save up for them (although, by the time I can afford them they'll probably be in the sale and will save me money in the long run.... BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT!!! Not a pair of shoes every month, but to be able to buy them if I want too! This feeling will pass soon I am sure - almost repaid £2000 to OH, so that's something to be cheerful about!

Money, or what I have of it, is doing what it should!

Did 1.5hr overtime last night, so will get that next Friday.

Working tomorrow as my usual day. A nice chilled, cheap weekend ahead I hope.

Right, gotta go and do some work! Catch you later! x

  • Nearly two grand :T Well done you!

In the last 19 weeks you have just about equalled your previous two years debt busting ;)
See how a good plan can work :money:
I did indeed set my alarm for 04:50 last Friday to make it up to London with my flag- so glad you spotted me:rotfl:
I was only going for a family fun time not really a royalist but a soppy side appeared and I got quite emotional- but I'm having electric shock treatment and counselling and normal service will be resumed asap:cool:
    Have a great weekend x

I know! But at the moment it doesn't make me feel that much better! And the whole 'shoes thing' is a poor example of how I feel (although I do want these http://www.kurtgeiger.com/online-shop/214898-kg-julius) - I don't want to go on a mad shopping spree or book and 3 week exotic holiday (tempting though!) but I would love to be in the position of just having some money 'there' incase something crops up!! To be able to do something spur of the moment without having to run it through my spreadsheet (although I do love it alot!!) to see if I can afford it or not. I am not talking thousands - just a couple of hundred in a slush fund!!!

  • without doubt the most distressing and traumatising shoes I have ever seen!
I know I'm normally found in rubber diving boots and I don't expect you to wear crocs or anything ...... but get a grip girl, not only do I have no sympathy for you not being able to afford these monstrosities but if they did appear on the end of your legs I may have to report you to the RSPCF! Its total foot abuse:eek:

But because they are expensive, they will be comfortable! I have convinced myself that they wouldn't help my achilles tendon injury if I were to wear them though! ;O)
