That's not bad either.
I only have a 1.5bed maisonette, but it is over 100 years old and fairly poorly insulated so I was dreading worse!
Let's hope Jan-Mar is just as thrifty!Mortgage£148,725 Student loan£13,050 HSBC loan£12,221

I got told yesterday on here my electric was on high side I use around 16kWh per day
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2956174
Its probably is a few kWh more than norm I dont have immersion heater and I cant cut down on gas as 3 of us in house (not me) suffer the cold acutely due to a defective genre which leaves one of my daughters disabled
I dread Winter what with energy prices all of us are being squeezed and I am by far not worse some people have next to nowt once bills are paid, bloody awful for them
I also spent in Sept £140 on logs and I try and get pallets to soften the blow0 -
4 bed detached, the last bill is:
Gas £257
Electricity £124
There are 2 of us in the house, and we in the process of improving the insulation of the house. So, mid December we had the doors changes from wooden, single glazed, with big see-through keyhole to composite door for the fron and double glazed UPVC for the back and also replaced the patio doors, which looked like the double glazing was gone, as it used to mist up in between the glass.
I hope it is going to be cheaper from now on, as we also got a new boiler, and whilst I might not be using much less gas to heat the house, it is considerable warmer (used to be 15 deg C when we come down to kitchen in the morning and heating has been on for quite a few hours, no rarely goes below 18)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

I don't know about you but my Jan-march bill is usually higher than oct-dec.
I wonder if others have same experience?0 -

Yeah I think that's true- it is the 'winter' quarter Jan-Mar isn't it. I meant relatively thrifty really!Mortgage£148,725 Student loan£13,050 HSBC loan£12,221

£98 elec
£154 gas
House is 12 years old UPVC windows & doors and pretty well insulated (300mm in loft and cavity wall insulation).

Gas bill received today (23 Sept to 4 Jan): £119 - I've used more than last year but it was cold much earlier! Electricity statement not due for another 10 days (different provider) but I know I use around 5kwh/day.
2 bedroom flat with 3 1/2 external walls and lots of big windows, boiler is nearly 20 years old and I'm in pretty much all day.Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -

I am jealous.. We are in the process of sorting out loft insulation (B&Q ran out of the space blanket that we used for half the loft - should get it in the next few days). I hope it will help!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
B&Q had the other day loft insulation for £3 for 3 rolls0
