Hi Everyone
I have often seen this thread but never ventured in- until now! So will introduce meself:)
I am very interested in setting up a little crafts company- and at the minute am trying to figure out what is a good idea and what is a bad idea.
So am going to read through this thread, but just wanted to say helloo:)
Can I ask though, where is best to source materials from- is there anywhere cheap in NI or is it best to price through Ebay, etc?0 -

I have worked in online marketing for over 12 years, have had a child, just left a crap employer and just been diagnosed with depression. I think i got to the point a few weeks ago that I thought, why dont I use my skills more productively!

For cotton I would try any of the Paragon stores in Belfast, Donegall Pass has the best range of craft stock, no idea about Linen, maybe some of the sewing folks will be able to help you

MAJOR CRAFT EVENT & FAMILY FUN DAY - Stormont Estate, Saturday 1st October 2011
Fundraising for Cash for Kids the Cool FM charity - this event is being run by a group of talented business women and crafters and will be heavily promoted and publicised!
Jewellery stalls are already full, but applications from all other types of crafts, plus beauticians, complimentary therapists, childrens stalls etc etc are welcome.
The event will feature a Craft Zone, Pamper Zone, Entertainment Zone and Food Zone, with stalls of a similar type heavily restricted. 2 jewellers are on the organizing committee and several other jewellers have already applied, so I am sorry, but no more jewellery stalls applications are being accepted at this stage.
If you would like to receive an application form, please pm me your details or leave contact details on this forum!
ThanksDJWW - cos we won't let it!0 -
