we signed up in june 09 to the basics package and we were thinking about adding the home phone because bt is costing a fortune - am i right from reading the above that i shouldnt do this or was this to people who signed up for one of the more expensive packages? we mainly just check email n surf but watch some tv online? thanks for any advice0

If you add home phone then you are indeed forced to move your broadband to one of their new packages. So don't do it... (and also take care to read all the small print on the phone package - charges for things like operator connected calls are astronomic.0
