Thats fine, trollys are fine in the right circumstances, but the number of items should better restricted.

I had to laugh on Sunday when I went with my daughter to a local ASDA in Kent - this shop is in an area where there are quite a few gypsy sites/sink estates, the place was packed inside and the car park was like Battersea Dog's home with dubious looking canines all trying to kill each other lol.

There were huge queues at all the self service tills, but the manned tills were very quiet.

While I was sitting waiting for my daughter, behind the tills, I was sort of watching people, just to save getting bored, and these people were only scanning aprox 50% of their items. Obviously, they scanned the security tagged items, but not much else.

The staff standing about were obviously quite intimidated by it all and were not saying a word- trolley loads were passing through with 'unpaid for goods' in them.

Places like this must be losing a fortune.:eek:

    Lin ;)
Oh great, so I and every other honest person has to subsidise thieving scum? Why didn't they call the police immediately?? Idiots.

Didn't the woman who sits inside the self scan tills have a field day shouting 'unexpected item in bagging'????? :D

I find it odd that ASDA's literally SHOUT at you, others are quite mild and give you a while to sort stuff out. but ASDA's is more like a drill sergeant, you must put the item on immediately, you must remove your bag etc etc

I'm with you, these people are a menace!

We should be allowed cattle prods in these instances...

The cattle prods should be used not only on cue-hoggers, but also on people that shop in places like Asda

The local tesco has barriers up so only baskets can get through. Think that is a good idea.

A cattle grid would also work and could also be electrified as per the zapper initiative previously mentioned
