Is it me, or are people just purposefully thick these days?
So ASDA today, had a hand full of items, its a busy day and 2 of the 8 self service tills are down. There are long ques. Why? Because EVERY single person at them had a trolley! despite the Clear signs saying 15 items or less.
Granted, most had the shallow trolly's so probably only had 30~ items. But one woman, had an overflowing full size trolley. Now that makes me seething, especially when these machines are designed to let people like me get in and out faster.
But she then had the cheek, and outright audacity to complain to the poor woman managing the checkouts that there wasn't enough room on the plate and it was asking her to put items on when she couldn't! Thus, slowing down everyone else needing items approved as this one woman had to stand and approve every item.
But was she done? Oh no. One fella lost a tenner in the machine. So the lady had to open the machine etc. approx 3-4 mins to do so. And the woman once again complained as she had to wait!
If i were any closer in the que, i have no doubt o would have given her a piece of my mind.
Few, feel much better, not many things annoy me but this is now one of them.

I'm with you, these people are a menace!
We should be allowed cattle prods in these instances...0 -

They should be built into the machines...... remote activation and all.
I wish the staff could be more assertive at times like this. Honestly, if it were me id tell them they simply cannot use these till, to remain fair on everyone else. Its not hard but some people thing just allowing thing like this is good customer service. But alas, all it did was annoy her, the customer, and every other poor sod in the line.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Remote activation isn't needed, as soon as item 16 hits the machine zap. Next customer.
Granted we'd be stepping over unconscious muppets every time (some people never learn) but it would liven up the experience...0 -

Lol, maybe some people need to go to the optiticans and get glasses and get some common sense at the same time0

It really does my head in when people do this.0

In my local asda tesco and morrisons the only sign present states self service no "15 items or less" so certain people dont use their common sense and take huge trolleys through, though I have to say Morris and tescos have spoken up to customers and told trolley people to use a proper till.
I can't understand how people can think shoving a weeks shopping through self scan is quicker than someone doing it for you allowing to pack?!??
They couple in tescos turned away last week were sooo rude to the member of staff so was glad they had to join another queue!!0 -

That would persuade me to go shopping more often if only to watch the muppets getting zapped! Do you think if we all put suggestion cards in saying we'd lik ethe ability to zap other customers (can't let machines have all the fun) that the supermarkets would take it on board?0 -
