How many folders on c ? What size are the biggest ones ?

The hundreds of sub folders in winsxs take up 64 percent of the 30gb, so 20gb, next biggest is system 32 at 13 percent which is less than 5gb (can't work it out in my head accurately)

winsxs is the issue - 20GB and growing. I don't use vesta but would be tempted to try manual delete some content but not guaranteed safe.
If you have a restore partition I'd try that and see if any option to create a bigger install partition.

not 60% of the total C space

what are the actual folder sizes, using Windows Properties?
can you also give us a list of all the folders you currently have on the C drive, & their sizes.


on the basis that your Windows folder is using 64% of your 40GB C partition/drive, its using 25.6GB, (this includes the winsxs folder)
winsxs is 60% of 25.6GB, which is 15.36GB (which is similar in size to mine, see below)

something else must be using the remainder of the space

where is your 'Users' folder?




my Vista machine;
Windows: 20.6GB
>winsxs: 12.7GB (thats within the 20.6GB that the Windows folder uses)

program files 3gb
