Father in law bought some paint before xmas, Similar situation only had 2.5Ltr tins of teh colour he wanted.
I didnt even ask the staff, Just took a tin & went around the other ranges to spot something that matched
but in 5Ltr tins. Found a different brand which was £1 less as well.

as an ex employee of b&q every employee should either let the customer know when the next delivery of the product is in ( all employees can access this information on any of the computers installed around the stores ) , or if the customer is in need of the product sooner and they can get to another store they can offer to check another store`s stock ( easy to do ) or phone another store and reserve the product for the customer to go and pick up , if you could remember the name of the staff member then i would complain as this is part of there duties ,
id complain to the store manager about the ignorance of the staff .

sounds to me like the member of staff didnt help the customer to her full ability there was a few things she could have done ,and didnt ,she shouldnt have said oh theres nothing she can do as she should have done things i mentioned abovewins :- x2 hair dyes ,mascara, epilator,personalised card , glass photo ,comp angels please throw some luck my way:j:D:A:)
