Please may I join this challenge too

I am going to only buy lunch on a Friday. The rest of the week I will bring from home, but need to ensure they cost less than the normal £2.20 I spend on a sandwich, so I will look for tips on what to bring in from you lot

  • Success! Brought lunch today, out for lunch tomorrow and off friday so 4 bought lunches this month. Yay! May try 3 next month...but a treat is motivating!

goingontoolong - do you make the SW crisps yourself? how!!

I am still doing well, just finished today's lunch which was salad and a cuppa soup.

What sarnie fillings do you all recommend? I can't eat ham but anything else is fine!

  • I make the cheats crisps lol

Lasagne sheets which are free, part boiled so they are soft, then I use scissors to cut them into dorito shapes...spray baking tray with frylightd. add crisps, spray, sprinkle with salt, paprika, garlic salt, anything really. oven for 5-6 mins, turn and respray/sprinkle. another 5-6 mins and they done.

salty ones are great with chilli. And its only about 30p for value lasagne which gets a GIANT amount of crisps! Plus they are free on the extra easy plan which is fantastic. Now I use my syns on wine lol

OH forgot his lunch today and is having to buy something from town! We were doing so well, but that's game over :(

I think next month I'll have to sign up for 1 shop lunch and aim for none, so we've got that 'just-in-case-my-husband's-a-forgetful-numpty' back up plan :D

Well, I have failed - in total I have bought 3 lunches so far. Although, have failed, this is a big improvement for me! Bring on Feb, I'm all set - New Slow Cooker, Meal Planners all ready, Organised Shopping trips with lists and everything:A
Now I just have to stick to all of this and set a realistic aim for Feb.

On Monday, I brought in a pkt of pitta bread, a bag of mixed salad, some ham slices and a bag of apples. I have been happily munching my way through healthy(ish) lunches each day and I also have a box of cup of soups in my drawer, just in case!

Yesterday was spicy sausage pasta and today i had spicy chicken with peppers and a roll. Tomorrow will be whatever is the biggest thing in the freezer as need to make space as moving somewhere with a small one! Well done everyone! I'm off Monday so if I can do tomorrow I will be done for this month!
