What an arrogant piece of s**t!
You apparently know it all, but not enough to get a job and earn a living doing it.
So that makes you a know it all waste of space.
And don't you think that if you have had the same problem in EVERY job you have had, that the problem is you?????????:o0 -

The problem is fear, people fear those who pose a threat to their own little bubble.
Quite frankly if you don't bullsh!t your way through and kiss the right backsides, everybody and their dog will try to shoot you down.
Very few here have offered any sound advice whatsoever, only the usuall ignorance that comes from knowing nothing about a subject and just going along with others of the same mind.
I did no harm to anything or anyone, (there's some twisting of words going on here which im finding hard to follow) I pointed out a major security flaw which was quite frankly school boy stuff. I was asked on joining the company to give my own input the the way the IT stuff was run.
I've been criminalised because somebody went nuts, didn't understand what I was saying re the security and started throwing accusations around while I was not at work to defend myself.
This little outburst was in front of the entire office and while ive spoken to my manager and cleared the situation with him, im still faced with this nonsense from my co-workers.
Paint this up to be what you like, but I came here to ask whether you could work in an environment of distrust based purely on the fact you know more than certain other people!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I work in IT. I know the systems we use intimately. I know very little of other 'industry standard' applications because I've not needed to.
In my experience we face a number of issues, some of which have been bought up on this thread. All of them have one thing in common, the user solves their problem with little regard on knowledge as to the knock-on effect across the group. It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0 -
Unfortunately two pieces of advice were given to me that I reflect over the years. they are as follows:
1 Most Managers are one competence level above. the level they're totally incompetent at.
2 Your Problem Freddie, is you pack your meetings with disenters, go tooth and nail with the problem and end up frustrated. Next time, do not invite those whom vote against you, and present the solution to the problem,0 -

What I said was if you learn how to PRESENT and COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY your opinions will be heard and you will have a better chance of success because if you ever said in one of my meetings "You don't have a clue buddy" every one of my collegues will turn their backs on you, will no longer respect you and will not want to take on any one of your ideas (not matter how good you think they are). Sounds like the problem you've just posted!!!!!
So, I again will say that in my opinion and solve your problem you need to change your behaviour.
NB. Co-operation is not the only key to a successful business: Goals and unity, creativity, negotiation, financial, team-working, encouraging GOOD Behaviour, Rewards, maximisation of resources which also includes 'just do your job - whatever it is' Improving your value chain etc, etc, etc,
I'm guessing the OP is a joy to have as a rear seat passenger as well, "you don't want to do it like that" (etc etc)0 -

Unfortunately I think you created the environment you're currently having to work in, not because you know more than other people but because you don't know how to interact with those people without pi$$ing them off. Your desire to show how clever you are demonstrates nothing more than your own insecurities. If you were half as smart as you think you are you wouldn't need to shout about it, people would just know.0 -
Given some of the things the OP has posted it's clear to me that working with other people is not his bag.
