Colour scheme

I'm trying to decide on a colour scheme for our wedding so that I can start thinking about things like bridesmaid dresses etc.

I have thought about olive green, but I don't know that my OH will go for that!!!

What colours are you having?

No idea about what this years colours are, but we are having baby blue

I'm not worried about what's "in"..we are having sage green...baby pink and chocolate brown....:)

I'm not worried about what is in either, just makes it easier when picking bm dresses etc!!

I have thought about sage green. Is that what your bm are wearing? Have you got their dresses?

We are having black and hot pink. BMs are in black with hot pink accents, having hot pink gerberas as the main flowers and the invites are black shimmery pocketfolds with hot pink, black and white damask, and shimmery ice-white paper borders! Cake is white with black ribbon, and a diamonte brooch.

Our colour is purple - a really deep dark purple BMs are in dark purple dresses with lilac fur shrugs, OH has managed to find matching ties for the men. The cake is ivory with purple icing, flowers are dark purple and cream calla lilies, and there'll be silver and sparkly crystal accents.

My colour is also purple based. BM is in short cadbury purple, I'm wearing silver. The men will have ties to match BM. Flowers will be cream roses, and mine will have some purple in it (cant remember what the flowers are other than pretty purple ones!) Haven't got around to cake yet but probably get M&S or similar and put purple ribbon on it

Our colour theme is turquoise which is going to be teamed with accents of fushcia pink in the flowers & ribbons...

Although trying to find bridesmaids dresses is proving to be a bit of a challenge @ the moment! Lol!

we're greedy and have two colours, dove drey and pastel yellow. LOVE it.

I think I'll be waiting to see what dresses I like for the BMs then picking that colour, rather than having a shceme.
I do like grens, but apparently that's bad luck (OK, so I might be over superstitious, but I have my reasons) so I might go for turquoise, or maybe bright pink.
Whatever takes my fancy really!

Green is supposed to be unlucky at a wedding, but then so is marrying on a saturday (rue the day)! green is not unlucky if you are of irish decent though.

My BMs are in sage green which is a lovely spring colour (although difficult to source dresses on the high st in it). Flowers and decorations are in mixed spring pastels with a bit of bright yellow and a purpleish blue (irises are my favourite flowers). Although decorations wise pink is very dominant, just because its easier and cheaper to find pink stuff.
